My wife and I bought a tempur-pedic king sized mattress 15-20 years ago which we still use in our master bedroom. Back then...we paid about $2,800 for it. We purchased this mattress for a guest bedroom now that our kids left the nest (and took their mattress with them...lol). This mattress is fantastic! Its a bit stiffer than the tempur-pedic but we remember when we first got the tempur-pedic is was also hard, so we are pretty confident this will get even more comfortable over time. But it is great our of the box. No smell. Rose up to about 10 1/2 inches the first few days. My wife slept in it for a week while I quarantined myself with covid and she said it was very comfortable. This mattress is simply unbelievable, the softness of the upper layer and the firmness of the inner and sides of mattress are extraordinary, it's like it hugs you with softness and keeps you there, great support for your back and keeps your spine aligned so you sleep well and wake up refreshed and not sore or with a backache. I ordered the 12 inch in firm, and it is exceptional, not brick hard firm, but it has a firm that gives you support but also has a softness that is comforting to lay on or sit on. We've had this mattress a little over a month now. I wanted to wait a while before reviewing to give an honest review. For the money this is an excellent memory foam mattress. It's just memory foam though, so don't expect anything spectacular. I've had softer mattresses and firmer ones, this one is middle of the road. It's comfortable, the memory foam is very responsive to weight and once you get up the mattress returns to its normal size. I don't wake up hot due to the mattress getting hot, it also does a great job at not transferring weight, I can get in and out of bed and never wake my wife. For the money this is a fine product. We bought the 14in King, neither one of us are "small" for our size lol but the mattress accommodates us very well. I was worried that we would feel the frame beneath us after laying on the mattress for a while but that's not the case. Even after sleeping on it all night there's still a solid 6 inches between us and frame. I will say that once you take it out of the packaging, give it a fu 48 to 72 hrs to fully inflate and get to its correct size and spongy "ness" . I slept on mine the first night and it was not comfortable, quite rigid actually, but after 3 days it was a totally different mattress. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a king or queen memory foam on a budget. ... show more

My first instinct was to get an extra soft mattress. BF suggested we should get medium soft because our dogs sleep with us. So, I ordered this one. 14 inch version. So far, both of us have slept very well on this bed for the past month. It stays pretty cool, which is a plus because we got dogs and cats sleeping with us. We are both about 160 pounds each. One of the main indicators that this mattress is good for us is the fact that we sleep very well through the night and we don't feel any sore or anything in the morning. Both bf and I are side sleepers. Which means on most mattresses our arm on the lower side would be numb when we wake up. But somehow with this mattress both of us feel fine. I am happy with this mattress. It is much easier to handle comparing with the traditional one. It just took me less than five minutes to unpack it and put it in the upper stair bedroom. The inflating took several days and have not noticed any odd smell. The size I got is the queen, just fits my queen size frame. It is medium firm, very comfortable to sleep on top of it. I have a king and it's a great mattress, especially for the price. I'll take this one again and again over my last mattress that I spent a couple grand on. It inflated very quickly and was able to sleep on it the same evening a few hrs after I opened it. The instructions say you don't have to wait like with other box mattresses. I never noticed any odors at all. It is firm but as we are aging the firmness is actually better for us. Had it for about a month and no dipping at all so far. It sinks while you are sleeping but then bounces right back. I will say it feels cool when you first lay on it but it gets warmer as you sleep. I purchased this mattress in January 2023. Upon arrival I was happy with the convenience of delivery, the size, and how plush it felt. Although, almost a year later and this mattress has completely sunken in where I sleep every night. It almost feels like a hammock at this point. I feel like a turtle stuck on it's back trying to get out of bed because it has sunken so much. I am not a heavy person. I weigh 115lb. If you only need a mattress for a year, then sure, buy this.
