I assembled this item in less than 15 minutes, using the allen-wrench provided and each part had a letter sticker to aid in rapid assembly. Instructions were perfect, aided by illustrations. Nice sturdy, good-looking frame at a good price. I will also say that I am the worst person every for spatial awareness in any way and the instructions to assemble it were super easy, even for me. It took maybe 30 minutes total and that was just because it has a bunch of parts and they are semi-heavy. As far as downsides go, the main one is that the legs are pretty much even with the edge of the bed, and have no padding or anything, so I can see myself stubbing my toe a lot. Already happened once. The slats that go across the middle seem plenty strong in the angle that they are intended, as in lying on top of them, but they are not held in at all from the opposite angle. That means if you tried to lift the bed by one of them you would instead lift the slat out. Not a huge deal, but wanted to note it. Finally, there are no like retention things to hold the mattress in place. That does make the mattress slide around fairly easily on it. Unclear if this will end up being a big issue at this point, but I did notice it immediately. ... show more
