I was hoping this would take care of two problems: a too hard mattress and a hot mattress topper. It is definitely an improvement in the cooling category and it is very comfortable. However, by itself, my mattress was still too hard. I had to use it on top of my old My Pillow mattress topper to take the most pressure off my back, hips and knees.
