Sturdy metal, nothing chintzy, well made. Hubby assembled it without fuss, PhD in Mechanical Engineering, and/or loss of blood. I was impressed by that. Now I can’t keep him off of it! To get it from one place to another in the yard, he just tows it behind his electric scooter He is doing yard work, being disabled does not hinder him as much anymore and he gets to enjoy the outdoors. I bought this for my husband. He has a broken back and this is so helpful for him. We put it together but it doesn't have instructions. It has a diagram. The parts were all there.
