This is so cool!!! My husband and I have been so mesmerized with this sand. It really does feel like wet sand but isn’t. The clean up is incredibly easy! And it leaves no weird feeling residue on your hands. I thought the sand castles would be too small for my 2.5 year old to enjoy but it’s perfect. Especially for an inside toy, I plan to get many different styles in this. This specific product comes with 3 pounds of sand and I wouldn’t want any less. There IS a play surface include within the box and the sand fits perfectly in there. You can use Play-Doh tools, dump trucks, etc with it and works great! My grandkids love it!

Granddaughters 2 and 5 love this stuff! I made sensory bins with it, using blue vase filler from the dollar store for water, and some shells and small plastic marine animals. Kept them busy for hours! I love that it is super easy to clean up, not messy at all. I stored it in a zip lock bag and so far, it has not dried up. It's a bit pricey, but I am happy with my purchase and may buy more in a color (I got the sand colored box first, to look beachy.) ... show more

Kinetic Sand is THE BEST!!

Okay, so I'm an adult and my grandchildren introduced me to Kinetic sand. It is the best ever! This product feels like beach sand, which is kinda cool and the molds are fun for the kids to play with. However, I sit at the table and kneed the sand the entire time they are playing with it. if I'm having a really bad day, I can REALLY KNEED it, I can name it BOB! I love to feel it slip through my fingers and it costs me less than a therapy session!!! The greatest part is, I get to spend time with my grandkids and they don't know if I'm having a good or bad day! Everyone should KNEED it!! ;) ... show more

The Easter bunny brought 2 sets of these for my 4 and 6 year olds. And I got them on sale! Less than $12 a piece. I would easily pay full price for these. Pros The box turns into the play space. Less mess!! There is plenty of sand to make great castles. The castles are sturdy and great quality. Easy to clean up!! Keeps my little ones busy for a while. Did I mention it's easy to clean this up?? Have you ever had playdoh smushed into your carpets and bits everywhere? Have you ever had slime on a brand new couch? (vinegar solves the problem btw) Because I have. I practically cry when they want to play playdoh because it gets everywhere. But kinetic sand is so different and easy to clean. Kinetic sand with some extras

We wanted kinetic sand for our children, and this sand with a few little toys was virtually the same price as a bag of sand by itself. The little toys are fun enough as molds for little sand castles and such. The box is a little disappointing as a little sandbox. I know we live in an age where a tiny plastic container could cost several dollars by itself, but that would make it a far better toy. Additionally, despite my immense care in opening the box, the glue ripped off some of the outer layer of cardboard so the little sandbox is not pretty enough for us careful perceived l perfectionists. Anyway, I can't imagine using an unsealed cardboard box to store kinetic sand, so I put the sand back in its original bag and we'll just buy another plastic bin to use as the sandbox. If you haven't given kinetic sand to your child and you're a first timer with this stuff, I recommend a plastic container that can be used for both play and storage. Kids have a hard time containing the stuff and you will probably have to clean up a little if your child is younger than 7 years old, but it's not so bad. I'd buy this product again and recommend it, though it's not spectacular. Try to wait for a sale price or just get a bag of kinetic sand and add your own little toys and molds. ... show more

Long Lasting Fun for my 4 Year Old

We purchased this kinetic sand kit primarily due to the amount of sand for the price. It comes in a box that can be folded into a play area to contain the sand. While this does work, it isn't something you can seal to keep the sand from drying out so we have opted to use a cheap Tupperware-style container for storage and playing. The kit comes with some beach toys for use with this sand and my 4-year old daughter loves making things with it. If you are new to kinetic sand and have a toddler, I highly recommend making this purchase. It allows the children to learn and experiment with their creativity and it offers a different option to play doh. As long as you keep the sand sealed up between uses it will not dry out. Once it becomes dry it will start to break apart from the compound that keeps it together and you will start to see sand grains around your table or wherever your children play. A perfect gift and so much fun!

This set is so cute! My son had been asking for his own kinetic sand so we finally caved despite dreading the mess. The mess actually hasn’t been bad at all!! I set up a tray with the sand and some shells and the pieces this set comes with and he played with it all for HOURS the first day!! He kept going back to the tray throughout the day! He was so entertained and excited about it. It’s even fun and relaxing for me to sit and play some with the sand with him. He really loves it! He has since requested sand everyday since we got it and he hasn’t been bored yet. It’s not messy and I love that it doesn’t really stick to your hands. It’s a really fun texture! Good quality fun

I got this sand for my toddler and preschooler and they've had a blast with it! They've been playing with it for about 4 months now, and it's holding up great. It holds together very well, there is no mess, and it's much easier to make shapes out of it with the molds than with regular sand, because it comes out of the mold much easier. With regular sand, when it's wet it tends to stick especially inside the smaller crevices of the sand shape molds. With this sand, you just turn the mold upside down and it comes out clean in one beautiful piece. The molds that come with it are nice, but we also use our regular sand toys with it, and the play dough tools as well. It works well with cookie cutter type shapes, too. It feels very nice handling it, and it oozes down in a very cool way, like some alien creature. I love love love it, and so do my kids! ... show more
