This is a great kit to have around, particularly if you are installing a vehicle hoist and need to level it so the columns are parallel to each other and 90 degrees to the floor. Important as the carriage/ hoist arms need not move in or out as the vehicle is being raised or lowered. As you can see with the second picture, I have placed one of the shims on top of the anchor/ stud just to show this and it fits perfectly with the most used size for vehicle hoist. Of course these go between the "foot" of the hoist and the concrete floor (usually 5" thick minimum, check your hoist installation instructions). These also can be used for other things, drill presses, band saws, bench grinder pedestals, lathes etc. Anything that needs leveling or shimming. You might think plastic isn't strong enough, however these are "reinforced " plastic which can handle the compressive strength with its surface area and load spread among all of the hoist/ machine's mounting to the floor. Another benefit is rust (these won't). 4 different sizes are included with plenty of each size for you to achieve a level hoist or machine. You likely will have some left over for other projects depending on your application. Important note is these work best with the base of the device you are trying to level has a flat bottom where it contacts the floor.

All the sizes are exactly as thick as they're supposed to be. Actually, all the dimensions match. Colors are nice so you can grab what you need quickly. Simple to use. Can't go wrong

Whether you need them to level your lift or not, this kit of four different shim thicknesses can come in handy for a lot of different things. It's nice that their individual thicknesses are molded right into the shims when they're made so you'll always know the thickness you're using. Plus they're color coded so you'll never mix them up. I recently used them on a small tiling job in my kitchen so that the tiles would have a consistent 1/16" between them.

this is for me.... I think the wording was misleading and I assume that the kits provided all parts. i'm now wondering how could it had been the whole kit for the price of $24.59 I can not give this a fair review because I do not have all parts to conduct a test. Please read carefully.
