This set came with a palette, lots of paint (that's NOT dried up at all- thank you!!), 2 brushes, an apron and a cat lamp. The lamp is smaller than expected but it was still a great size for little hands. So much fun and a great craft we got another one to give as a gift.

How is this considered a lamp when it is so small. I anticipated an item at least double the size of the one I got. Good thing it wasn't too expensive.

I bought this LAOESE Paint Your Own Cat Lamp Kit as a fun arts and crafts activity for my kids, hoping it would be a great creative outlet for them. What a mistake. First off, the quality of the materials is terrible. The lamp itself feels super cheap and flimsy, almost like it could break if dropped. The "paint" that comes with the kit is more like watery chalk than actual paint, and it doesn't cover the surface well at all. My kids got frustrated trying to get a solid color, as it took multiple coats just to make the paint look decent. It ended up being blotchy and uneven, which totally ruined the fun of painting. The lamp light itself is also disappointing. It’s supposed to glow, but the light is so dim that it’s barely visible, especially if it’s placed anywhere but in a pitch-black room. My kids were more excited about painting the lamp than actually using it as a lamp, and after the poor results, they didn’t even want to display it in their rooms. I also think this kit is mis-marketed. It's labeled for kids ages 6-12, but I can't imagine anyone older than 7 enjoying this kit. The painting process was frustrating for my 8-year-old, and I can't see how this would hold the attention of older kids. It’s honestly a waste of money. You’re better off finding a more durable, higher-quality craft kit that will actually engage kids and last longer than a few hours. I’ll be sticking to other brands in the future. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this one.
