This is my second Kindle, first one was many, many years ago. This one is very lightweight, even lighter than my iphone. Since I bought it I haven't read any physical books. This is a replacement for an older reader. Improvements were incremental but welcome. Good lighting for screen, very readable screen, excellent battery life, increased size. Touch screen is not noticeably better than old one, not in the same league as an iPad touch screen, for example. All in all a welcome incremental upgrade with bigger screen and waterproofing, and still, as one of the ads used to say, "Cheaper than your sunglasses". The Amazon fabric cover was a pleasant surprise - nice texture and premium feel.

This kindle has been such an incredible asset for this book lover. Now I am able to read in bed without having a light on and disturbing my significant other. Plus, it does not have the harsh blue light of an iPad or something. Battery has lasted me the entire month, plus some. Can’t say enough good things about it.

I had the very first one and it no longer works. So, I purchased this one and wished I done it sooner. I can change the size of the font so I can read it with and without my glasses. Easy to download books and cook books.

This is my new favorite thing! It has been attached to my arm since I got it! The paperwhite screen is a game changer if you like to read outside and the best part is you can even continue reading after it gets dark with the soft and warm back lighting. The color is gorgeous too!

Been wanting a kindle for the longest time. I thought I needed to look at all the different models and keep comparing and contrasting and get rid of ads, etc. But really the ads don't even bother me since its only at the home page, basically its only there when the kindle is locked and you can swipe it away. I got it on sale, so the price was perfect. It wasn't too crazy and I didn't need to get anything fancy to read on the plane or train or at the park. The screen and lighting is nice and soft to look at, compared to my glaring phone screen.
