Great bed but difficult to put together. You really have to follow the instructions perfectly, and personally I think the instructions could have used a bit more detail at some of the trickier parts, but it didn't cause too much issue. The bed itself is extremely sturdy. I got this for my 8yo and she loves it. If you're building it on carpet, especially high pile, you're likely going to struggle to line up the holes for the stairs part of the frame and the closet. Having someone put weight on the closet helped. As with any other thin metal framing that has a bit of weight to it, it'll sink into the carpet a bit. I absolutely love this loft bed, it's convenient and reliable. I love using the available totes that are there for my clothing and other miscellaneous items. Screws were perfect and none of them were missing, the perfect size I wanted and solid.

I am rating this as 3 stars for the following reasons: 1. There were times when the instructions were a little vague/ambiguous. You have to be exactly precise with each instruction, and I did wind up having to redo one or two things along the way because I misunderstood the instructions. 2. The center beam - the main piece that holds most of the weight - was misshapen. It was supposed to be rectangular in shape, and instead it was more of a parallelogram and subsequently did not fit into the pieces it needed to be inside; we had to hammer it into a rectangular shape in order to properly assemble the bed frame, which was a ton of extra effort and enough noise to cause my neighbors to drop by and ask if we were alright. 3. This took me 3 days to assemble; I am a single mom and I do work full-time, so I was trying to get this done between work, meals and soccer practices, but I’d estimate that I still probably spent about 8-10 hours total to put this together. 4. I’m glad they packed extra screws/bolts, because we did have to discard a few which were stripped (and subsequently unusable) before they came to us. 5. The stairs - they need to be a little wider in my opinion - I bought this bed for my growing 12-year-old son and he fits now but I worry about it as he grows. 6. Another issue with the stairs - a couple of them do already bow slightly when they are stepped on. I just finished putting the bed together this morning, so that is disappointing to see - I’ll have to try and figure something out to get those particular steps reinforced before there are problems. 7. The railing around the mattress is short; it would be great if it were 2-3 inches taller. The mattress in my picture is only about 8 inches thick and I did buy a mattress topper which I’m now probably not going to use because I don’t want my kid to roll off the sides of the bed. All of that being said, this is a very sturdy bed frame which I expect will last a long time. My son loves the design. He has a small bedroom and this saves a lot of space with so much storage, the desk underneath his bed, and some cool shelves and areas to hang his nerf guns. ... show more

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced bed is not sturdy it is poorly made . Delivery was broken in 2 packages which was very inconvenient. Reached out to the seller and seller keeps disregarding all input . After 3 days the bed was finally put together completely following the manual but even then the pre made holes don't match we were forcwd to used washers the bed wobbles and again is not sturdy . I have bought multiple things from Amazon and never had a problem but this seller is one I will not recommend. The seller claims the bed was built wrongly and thats all the solution they give . Good and sturdy. Would recommend using a drill made the process of building go much faster. Fit my smaller room (12 x 13) great with enough room on the top for me to side up without hitting the ceiling (im 5’10).
