I was skeptical at first. I suffer with RA and like most people life issues. Sleeping a full 3 hrs had become my average. Getting up 3 to 4 times a night. I was ready to try everything and anything. I did my research on weighed blankets and prayed this would work for me. Going with the standard 10% of your body weight, I needed 12lbs. But I have a king size bed and wanted to cover the whole bed. So I ordered the 25lb. Which would distribute the weight evenly across the bed. This blanket arrived as stated. The fabric is so soft and good quality. Well made. The size is spot on. I am a manager and working a closing shift. These are usually my worst, restless, no quality sleep nights. As I climbed in bed I said a little prayer. I remember covering myself and feeling the weight of the blanket as it covered me. It was such a good feeling. The weight was good. It felt ( as advertised) “The hug”🥰 and…lights out. I woke up 6.5hrs. Later. In the same position and feeling rested. I can not believe I am saying this “it worked for me”. I actually feel like I had a good night sleep. Somebody pinch me. I am so surprisingly happy. If you are like me, don’t stop trying. This might help you too. It’s important to know what weight is good for you. I hope this helps someone.

I wasn’t sure what I would think about a weighted blanket. I didn’t understand the concept and thought maybe it was the latest gimmick. After ordering one a month ago, I’m ready to order a 2nd one for my home and maybe a couple more as gifts for my mother & grandmother. The blanket is spectacular and I would never go back to not having one on my bed. This blanket is soft and warm and comfortable for sure. The only drawback for some might be the weight, as it is 15-20lbs. Setting the blanket aside while removing sheets is a small challenge and might be a factor for some if you don’t want to use some muscle or simply can’t because of the weight of it. I’m a 44 year old male and I don’t have any problems. I’ve had 4 small spills and some blood from a cut get one my blanket and I applied spray & wash. The small spots lifted off easily. I could not be happier with the feel of the blanket & I sleep more soundly and longer than before I bought mine. I’ve recommend one to all of my friends!! Try one out, you can return it for a refund if it doesn’t work for you. I recommend giving it about 10 days to get used to it, after that you won’t notice the weight, too much. Mine is a 15lb blanket! Get yours soon and sleep better for years to come!

First, this has helped me sleep better. I fall asleep quicker, and seem to experience deeper sleep. However, I cannot be 100% certain this will translate to other customers. Scientifically, the information about weight therapy is as follows; there are several divisions of the central nervous system (CNS), and the important one to mention here is the parasympathetic nervous system. Weight therapy targets this division of the CNS. This is the part of the nervous system which stimulates the "digest and rest" state. Blood flow is directed to different organs w/ different functions, one of them being digestion. Another major effect of the parasympathetic is to dampen the fight or flight response, by indirectly decreasing adrenaline, and cortisol secretion. This can be perceived as a sense of calm, lack of anxiety, lowered heart rate, etc. Another effect of the parasympathetic that I mentioned is lowered heart rate, respiratory rate, and a reduction in the stress response. (i.e., lowered cortisol, and adrenaline, blood flow returns to the brain, etc.). This can all lead to an internal environment primed for sleep, however the level of parasympathetic stimulation by weight is unknown. Finding and experimenting with different weights is an option. Finding that blanket that works for you will ensure you are getting the benefits of weight therapy. Too much weight could be detrimental to sleep, not enough and you may not be getting those weighted therapy benefits. This blanket is about 12 lbs, I believe. I bought the appropriate weight for my weight and bed size. (My weight: 150lbs; Bed size: twin; blanket weight range 110-130lbs). It is definitely heavy enough for me, but you may require more weight than I did. My blanket is about 12x less heavy than I am. (i.e., it is about 8% the weight of my body). This percentage can be used to determine the right weight for you, but it is not inclusive. Also this is just one data point, I may be wrong in my assumptions. Take your weight and multiply that by .08-.1. This will give you the weight in pounds that should work for you. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision. Sweet dreams! :)

My 12 yo daughter suffers from anxiety and has been waking a few times in the night and having trouble falling back asleep. I finally decided that we needed to try a weighted blanket so she can get proper sleep. When I first opened it, I thought for sure they sent the wrong one because a 10 lb weighted blanket feels MUCH heavier than a 10 lb weight at the gym! We weighed it though and it's the right one. I had thought about going up to a 12 lb. but I'm glad I didn't. She really likes it and says it feels so comforting to sleep with! Her sleep has been better too with it. I should have bought one years ago and kick myself now! My only disappointment is that one of the cover fastener loops came ripped out of the seam! It's one of the corner loops too which are the most important for keep the cover in place. I don't want to send it back and be without one while we wait for a new one. Otherwise, it's perfect - soft, effective and evenly weighted.

I have fibromyalgia that keeps me awake many nights between insomnia, and/or insomnia created by pain that hits my legs and shoulders at night worse than during daylight hours. I decided to try a weighted blanket, and chose this one after reading different write ups from different companies. By my weight, I should have ordered one that weighs a bit more, but I get up several times a night as a senior to use the bathroom, and was concerned that anything heavier than 15 lbs would be too much for me to handle getting in and out of bed. I am glad I went with this weight. It does the job, and is easy to maneuver when I get up in the middle of the night. I am sleeping better, and it takes about half an hour, and I can actually feel my muscles in my legs relaxing, and soon I'm off to sleep. I get too warm easily, and was happy when I discovered that the blanket does not make me too warm, even with 15 lbs on top of me. Somehow it seems to adjust to my own body temperature and keeps me right where I should be for comfort. I could not be happier. One of my best friends is buying one for her son for Christmas as he has terrible sleeping habits. I assured her he'll see a difference!

I have MS so I thought I would give this blanket a shot to see if it helped me sleep. It does! The weight is perfect and the squares are small enough that it doesn't matter if the beads shift to the one side. I used to toss and turn but now I sleep in one place all night. It weight feels great on my muscles that often hurt because of Spasticity. The blanket is super soft and well made. I live in Texas and have severe heat sensitivity so I can see it being a little warm for hot sleepers like myself but I sleep on a Chilipad and sleep comfortably. I looked at tons of blankets and I am so happy I decided on this one. I rarely give reviews either but I thought this blanket warranted a review!

When it arrived, it was nicely folded inside this clear bag and was inside a cardboard box. At first the 20 lbs felt a lil heavy but after a week I got used to the weight. (I weigh over 200 lbs) I’ve had it about a month now and As soon as I get under the blanket I get tired and I’m ready for napping or to go to bed. It’s very soft, can be used in a duvet. Bag says dry clean only so I don’t like that. I have PTSD, depression, anxiety, asthma, RLS, and insomnia. It helps with all my problems. I love this blanket and would recommend to anyone! It has helped me to calm down before I sleep, calmed my legs, I don’t have trouble breathing with it. It is heavy to move while in bed (if the blanket slips out of place when I roll over) but it’s sooo worth it. If something happens to this blanket I will buy another one. I also have small dogs that like to play on it and sleep under it as well.

I ADORE this weighted blanket! It helps me sleep deeply, is the perfect weight for me, and doesn't require a cover - which can be added if you prefer. It is the size of a queen size mattress from top to bottom and side to side. I can't see using this for a king size bed as it wouldn't go to the side edges. I adore this weighted blanket - if it got ruined, I would immediately get another to replace it.
