Giving this four stars for offering a lot of value at a modest price. The good outweighs the bad by a fair margin here, if what you're looking for is an inexpensive tablet for your child. The Good: -This won't win any speed tests, but it has a surprisingly sporty Quad core 1.6GHz processor. -Expandable memory / sd card slot (up to 512mb) -Decent screen. -Not locked into any kind of "child" interface. Although it has comes preloaded with a kid-friendly wallpaper and some basic, kid-friendly apps, it is just as customizable as any other device running android (go). -Has a headphone jack -- critical so kids can use headphones and not drive their parents crazy. Bluetooth also worked great, with a quick connection. -Customizable parental controls. -Soft protective case, with kickstand. (Just don't drop it face down on something hard and pointy.) -3000mah battery, with low standby drainage. Not incredible, but good enough. The Bad: -Takes a while to load from power off. No big deal, really, but might come into play if your kid is impatient. -Cameras are only 2MP. The Ugly: -This runs Android 12. Android 15 was released in October of 2024, making this somewhat obsolete from the get go. That being said, most kids apps, especially ones for very young children, will still run fine on this, and likely will for a little while. -Although these are for sale everywhere, there's very little to be found about the "Q8K" tablet online. No manufacturer page, and no indication this can ever be upgraded to a newer version of Android. Googling the Build name info returns zero google results. For what it's worth, Google interpreted this device as a "MASTERTECH 77-EV" (which has an equally opaque presence online).

This tablet is great for little kids. The shockproof case gives me peace of mind, and the parental controls are easy to set up. It already comes with Netflix, YouTube, and kid-friendly apps, which is convenient. Perfect for car rides or quiet time.

Cheap but lags bad. Had to try to set up about 3 times because it kept shutting off. Also couldn’t download anything because it was so slow and would shut off it took about 7 tries. Kept it only for youtube purposes. It is a good tablet to see if children are responsible to upgrade later
