The media could not be loaded. Laugh if you want, but this cutie is a great solution for my specific need. Read on and become a believer - I have arrived at speaking bookings where the PA "system" must have been used on a 20th century battleship. I do have rigs for larger gigs. The smaller bookings are usually a lot of Q&A and where the audio provided is hit and miss at best. And then just one microphone which is a real bummer. As I was looking around at some very pricey small rigs, I spied this "karaoke system" that popped up based on my searches. Two microphones, blue tooth and a small profile. All I need for a group of 150 people or less. Will it really do what the posting states? It doesn't necessarily look like a toy. My hope was it would simply enhance the speaking voice. There is no need for a big punch. Being able to play music files from a thumb drive or SD chip means I can provide some pre-presentation light music to help set the mood and the music for afterwards - background. Use the simple control on the mic to play / pause the music... Bingo! - does all that. It is something to keep handy in a pinch just in case. It's a lot smaller than I envisioned even with the accurate measurements provided. That is actually a plus. Everything is black making it discrete. Upon turning it on, I didn't realize IT TALKS ! "Power on- blue tooth mode". The simple controls offer a + and - for the volume. How do I know the volume is all the way up? IT TOLD ME! "Max volume". Sounds like a nice lady. Using it does take a few minutes of getting used to where and how to hold the little microphones. ---> Use the provided wind screens ! <--- I found that placing the mic to my chin and speaking normally across the mic worked well. Holding it straight on like a rock star is hard to find the sweet spot of distance and distortion happens if you have a boomy voice that overdrives the microphone. I placed the speaker unit across the room about 50 feet and it sounds great enhancing my speaking voice. It must have a kind of feedback suppression. I had to put the mic right up a few inches from the unit to get a hint of feedback coming. No worries there. The effects are goofy yet fun. I might try the setting that pitches up the voice like a cartoon character when starting off a presentation just to shake things up. I can definitely see how kids would have a ball with this. However, kids would enjoy it in vivid colors - not all black because it looks "grown up". Yet, even all black, it's a lot of fun to be had. I gave it a deserved five stars for what it is. I gave it three stars for sound quality because I'm usually using high quality equipment. All metal construction with the speaker unit. If you have a small social club or any social group for that matter, this little "system" will come in handy. If you have some kids who want to be loud, ditto.

I found this karaoke player a bit of a challenge to use, I initially had trouble downloading the application and getting the unit to sync with my phone. I deleted and tried several times until it installed. It has a feature that allows you speak into the mic and the unit makes your voice echo and distorted. The karaoke feature allows you to play tracks from your phone and sing along. Battery life was surprisingly long. Great for family gatherings and parties. Overall nice value for the price.

This works well but takes a bit of time to charge. I suppose it’s a fair trade off for the long lasting battery. It’s pretty durable and has withstood a couple drops by my kids.
