    • Easiest arbor I ever used.
I found this arbor on a "Best" review, and completely agree. The DeWalt 1/2in Rapid Load Quick Change arbor makes changing hole saws and pilot bits as quickly and easily as possible, without any tools. Hole saws fit snug without wobble, which helps keep pilot bits from walking away from the mark, and once pierced through helps keep them from breaking. Many other basic arbors tend to wobble or jamb. For the Rapid Load design, there are two collar detents printed on the yellow band with "1" and "2", but it doesn't include any instructions. #1 was obvious, #2 was not. To remove the hole saw, pull the collar down to the first detent "1" to release the saw locking pins and unscrew, just like most arbors. To easily change the pilot bit, no tools required, pull the collar down one more detent to "2" and the bit slides out. It doesn't include any instructions so, I assumed it required an allen wrench to change the pilot bit. There is an allen set screw but the hole was filled in as if a wrench was broken off in it so, I thought it was defective and returned it for a replacement. The replacement was the same so, After some investigating online, I found how to use it. The included pilot bit is the DeWalt 3-1/4 Inch Length 1/4 Inch Pilot Bit, PN: DAH99314PB. (There are longer bits available.) *This DeWalt Hole Saw Pilot Drills Are Designed For "Tool-Free Use" with the DEWALT RAPID LOAD Hole Saw Accessory System and are compatible with all Non-Quick Change arbors.     • Guide bit and chuck for hole saws
Bought this for the DEWALT 4” hole saw so I could install a dryer vent in my wall…..This works well for the hole saws since they screw on and screw off easy to change to different sizes…..once you have the guide bit with the saw chuck you only need to purchase desired hole saw sizes

    • Nice heavy duty unit.
I used this with my larger threaded hole-saws up to 6 inch and never have had any issues. Quick lock and unlock. I’ve used this with dewalt, Diablo, Bosch and a variety of Amazon off brand hole-saws.

Not all quick load arbors are built the same, this one and my Lennox are the best. I do really like the Diablo but you typically have to only use Diablo hole saws with it, the DeWalt and Linux you can use any brand.

Pilot bit very short and cannot use anything but DeWalt rapid load pilot bits I will never have another one!!!!!!!
