  • Bang for the buck
Style: SRS-XP700 Pattern: Speaker
I watch videos before I purchased and many said this was overpriced and overrated but i priced others and found this was priced right for my budget. Now performance wise it is exactly what I expect from Sony, high quality, easy operating, sound design and absolutely classic right out of the box. I use this for my outdoor theater and it takes me back to the days of drive inns lol. The sound, the reason we buy a speaker tower is absolutely top notch, sounds like the band is playing in the backyard lol volume at 100%, I can’t hear myself talk if I’m 10’ away, if I’m in the house I can hear it but it’s not shaking the walls. In the house @ 100% it doesn’t shake the walls. My old kenwood 1000w stereo will shake the walls but it also had twice the speakers. ✌️ ... show more

  • Love it
Style: SRS-XP700 Pattern: Speaker
Let’s just start with this, I listen to a lot of rap and music with bass. Most of the time I can’t turn the volume all the way up. It would simply be too loud and the bass too strong (unless you’re partying obviously). I can’t bring it up to half the max volume in my room but it literally shakes my dorm, very tempted to try maxing the volume to see what would happen. Anyways, the audio quality is beautiful and the bass bumps. It’s great for parties. It’s great for just chilling out and listening to music. However, it is big of course so it takes up a little bit of space and isn’t amazing for portability but honestly I don’t care about any of that. It makes my room shake and it sounds good. I haven’t noticed any issues with battery life, not sure if it’s 25-hours but it lasts quite a while. If you’re looking for a speaker with quality, base, and battery life, and you’ve got the extra dosh to toss… I’d definitely recommend this speaker. Great product 10/10. Note: I have not personally noticed any real issues or downsides to owning this speaker, but again that is *personally*. ... show more

  • Love it!
Style: SRS-XP700 Pattern: Speaker
The media could not be loaded. Easy to connect and puts out great loud quality sound without distorting. The lighting is fun and adds great effect no matter your mood (easy to adjust through the app). The only setback is that it's not on wheels and a little heavy to support all that amazing sound. This is a must have! Be ready to be impressed. ... show more

  • This is a PARTY SPEAKER!
Style: SRS-XP500 Pattern: Speaker
I love this speaker! The sound is fantastic, great portability, I can take any where in my apartment. The battery life is great, it last long for a party and when I'm resting and just want some soft music to listen to. All around this was worth the money.

  • Sony srs-xp700 vs JBL partybox 310
Style: SRS-XP700 Pattern: Speaker
Let's be honest, you're probably looking at the Sony xp700 because the JBL partybox 310 is sold out and because it's now $100 less than the JBL. Well, the JBL is indeed a better "party' speaker. Much better/deeper bass at volume, better light features, easier to transport with the wheels and telescoping handle, and it even has a hole for a speaker stand, meaning you can elevate it over a dance floor and project the sound further. If your primary use case is throwing medium to large dance parties or hosting events, hands down go with the JBL. Keep in mind, neither speakers have RCA or XLR inputs, so if you're trying to start a side-hustle as a DJ, neither speaker will be the best choice, but the JBL is the closest to an amateur DJ speaker. However, the Sony is actually a better "casual" speaker. IMO, it looks less ostentatious and more classy/understated than the JBL, with a more subtle light feature. It looks good and will aesthetically work just about anywhere, from a formal social event to a casual house party with friends. It has better sound quality at low volumes and simply a greater range of lower volume levels. Meaning, if you want softer background music during a dinner or a social event, the Sony will give you a wider range of volume levels to work with, whereas the JBL wants to blast music as loud as possible. Further, I feel the Sony has a more balanced sound and is just more usable for a wider range of situations, barring loud raves or crazy dance parties. The Sony also offers better battery life, and has battery saving features, which means the battery might last longer than the JBL over the years, since it will need fewer charge cycles. In conclusion, if you're a wanna be DJ, just looking to host dance parties and basement raves, stick the JBL. However, if you're like most people, and you want a good speaker for a wide range of situations, from listening to music in your living room, to throwing a birthday party, to hosting a formal cocktail event on your patio, the Sony is the more versatile option, aside from not having ANY audio out jack to daisy chain with different brand speakers and not being able to mount it on a speaker stand. Overall, a decent buy as long as it's less than the JBL. AND COME ON SONY, GIVE US SOME VERSATILITY AND LET US USE SPEAKER STANDS AND AUDIO OUTPUTS!!! ... show more

  • Awesome speaker!! Like a mobile concert
Style: SRS-XP500 Pattern: Speaker
The speaker box is a bit heavy but worth it the quality of sound, speed of BT connection and playability along with range of sound to play and how far it travel. Battery life is better then average for speakers of this wattage and size especially with the stamina power option. I highly recommend this brand of portable speakers if you are interested and looking for a mobile music solution. ... show more

  • Don't Believe the HYPE !!
Style: SRS-XP700 Pattern: Speaker
This speaker ROCKS. !!! I love it and would buy again in a heartbeat. Bass is strong, voices are clear, and this thing gets so loud it's ridiculous. If you are indoors, you can't take this speaker to full volume. It's so loud it shakes your brains out. Supposedly, the JBL 310 is better (if you listen to some of the reviews), but the JBL 310 is also now $150 more. Even when you go outside the sound is powerfully loud and the bass is still strong. In a normal group setting a few people outside, 20-25% volume is way more than loud enough for good listening. The speaker connects very easily via Bluetooth, and I highly recommend to anyone. Only reason I gave 4 stars on portability is because, it is almost 40lbs and the JBL 310 does have wheels. Wouldn't pay another $150 for those wheels, but they're a nice feature. ... show more
