Forget the polaroid! That one's too expensive. This can offer as much as that being able to print pictures instantly on the go. But of course for obvious reason, the polaroids or instax of the instant print camera world are much better because they are colored but again, they're too expensive. This one, although it prints black and white on thermal paper, it does give the same amount of joy for kids and it's way cheaper. You can buy sticker papers as well so not only you can print sticker photos but also make sticker labels. There's also an SD card slot here and a 32gb sd card is pre-installed so you dont need to buy one, you can transfer the photos taken here to your pc or other devices. You can also take videos in 1080p HD. But yes i must admit, the photo quality isn't as good as your modern iphone or android phone, but, it's better than those camera's like 10 years ago. I just wish this has bluetooth and an app where you can print photos and labels from your phone just like those portable thermal printers. So basically all you can do with this is just basically snap a picture and print. If you want to print labels, you can do so on your computer with canva or other graphic design software, save it on a microsd card and put the microsd card on this instant camera and you can print it from there. It's a cumbersome workaround for printing labels but it just shows that you can also do that with this device. But overall, this is a fun instant print camera for kids. Adult assistance still is needed. Make sure you have some extra rolls of paper since for sure the ones that came with this camera will be all be used in no time. ... show more

This kids camera is SUCH a hit! It takes decent photos for a kids toy, has some games and stuff, but everyone’s favorite part is the instant print. It comes with and hold thermal paper, like receipt paper, and then prints out photos with the push of a button. Luckily the paper isn’t too expensive to replace, because the kids want to print out Every. Single. Photo. Such a great way to get kids into photography because they get instant result and feedback. I noticed my kid actually keeping subjects in frame now because he would never check the screen for some reason, but takes the time to look at his photos after he prints them. So we love all the cool features. It’s very cute and lightweight. The only drawback is that the photos printed from the camera are so light the images can’t really be seen. We are trying different room lighting and camera settings, but so far only one picture came out visible. We didn’t expect the pics to be super high quality, but we did expect to be able to see the images. Maybe we are doing something wrong. My son was able to get the camera set up with minimal assistance- he is 8. He loves taking pictures and having the immediate gratification of a picture being printed- that being said, the picture quality is not there, but he is 8, and doesn't care. Being able to recharge is a nice feature as well. I know we will go through the paper quickly- so the consideration here is probably more on the cost of the paper, not the camera itself. ... show more
