Christmas present for my 9 (almost 10) year old son. Absolutely loves it! Crazy easy to use, he was able to explore it and figure it out on his own. Battery life is good and the print quality is above average for sure! He brought it with him on a trip into NYC we just took and took pictures along the way and made a scrap book. The instant gratification that this camera brings is honestly just fantastic! Great value as well! Would absolutely recommend!!

I got this Kid's instant camera for my 8-year-old grandson. Of course, grandfathers have to know how these things work so I can give him a helping hand. I made the mistake of thinking that I could pick this up and figure it out. Well, that turned out wrong. You have to READ the manual. At the start I did get it to work but the prints from the thermal printer were terrible. And I had questions on how to use the memory card. And how to access the set-up mode so I could adjust the printer. These and other questions required a fast read of the manual. You turn the camera on using the central button on the panel below the LCD display. Push the button and hold it for a second or two. The main menu comes up. The main menu icons – Hit the OK button to make the selection of each mode - Camera: puts you into still photography mode - Movie camera: selects video mode - The CD player is an MP3 player. So, you can play music from a memory card if you install it. - Mountain: This is playback mode. Here you can see the pictures that are stored on the memory stick. Also, videos - Game controller: accesses a series of simple games that are resident in the camera - Gears takes you through the set up of the device. This is the toolbox Examples When you select one of the menu items, for instance Camera, the other buttons do things only related to that mode. You can’t do videos in Camera mode. And you can’t view saved images. Each of those items has it own menu selection – see above listing In camera mode You can turn the printer on – you’ll see a little printer icon show up on the screen. Use the 2nd button from the left to turn on the printer. If you have the printer on, every time you take a picture using the button on the front of the camera or the Ok button on the back, the images is printed. If you turn it off, any picture taken is saved to the memory card on the side of the camera You can add certain fun features to your pictures, like frames, mirror mode, color tints, strange effects and other things. To select these items, use the left and right keys. The button to the right of the On/Off button selects a count down timer or Burst mode – for a series of pictures A quick push of the On/Off button takes you back to the main menu. Note: The large button on the front of the camera can be used to take pictures, select flash mode or turn the light on for flashlight mode. Pushing this button will cause icons to show up on the LCD screen which signifies the mode is on. So, the camera can do a lot of things. A quick read through the manual takes but a few minutes and some play time. The final menu item is Tools. Here you set up how the camera and printer work. There are a lot of things listed but for me, I was interested in getting better print and picture quality. What I changed. This made a big difference in the printouts. - I changed the print quality to high - I set the print density to 7 - I set the resolution to 2.5 k UHD: this is more for the images saved on the memory card - I set the time and date on the last page so that the time stamp was correct. After making these changes, I was much more satisfied with the camera. It really is pretty good for kids. Keep in mind that the lens has a fixed focus and it’s fairly slow which means in dim light things get blurry. Also do yourself a favor and buy some spare paper rolls when you buy the camera. Nobody wants to run out of paper before the birthday, Christmas day or any other special day is over. One last thing, you can view the pictures stored on the memory card using playback mode. But to get the pictures off the card you need to take the memory card out of the camera and insert it into some other device: computer, phone, pad, what have you. The pictures are very sharp, clear and colorful. If you want to use this extensively, you may want to increase the size of the picture in set up mode. So, this is a nice little camera which meets the descriptions and images on the website. The build quality is solid and very good. The plastic used in the construction seems pretty tough. And the controls all work quick and easy. It has a lot of capabilities and so has a bit of a learning curve. Luckily, the manual has the information. I’m pretty happy with the camera and feel confident with it. I’ll probably focus the training with our 8-year-old on the Still camera feature and how to turn on and off the printer. I’m not sure about the memory card. With 32GB of space you can take thousands of pictures. Using the camera, you can only delete one at a time. To delete batches, you have to load the card into a computer. I think printing the pictures is probably the safest bet. In general this is a great little camera that I would recommend.

This is an easy to use affordable instant camera. The picture quality , once you read the manual to make adjustments is acceptable for a good keepsake. I love the design and that it comes with an USB to charge. It seems durable.
