Finally! A quality bowl made from stainless. We've been through a few. My Doberman pup is sensitive to plastics. She gets acne on her chin from plastic bowls. She also has a high food drive. Her favorite thing seems to be flipping her food bowl. Yeah, it's good times. Anyway, she can't or won't flip this bowl. The way it was built it's hard to flip anyway. But, it's not her first flip-resistant bowl. She's flipped them all, until this one. It is a slow feeder, but it doesn't slow her down a whole lot. It's very well-built and easy to rinse out or throw in the dishwasher.

The media could not be loaded. This slowed our Lab down DRAMATICALLY and I'm thrilled, what else can I say except the bowl is also very stylish! I thought it was on the expensive side, but, no, it's very high quality and super effective for a long-muzzled dog. The video shows him eating a cup of food, but it took so long for him to finish (YAY!) that I thought no one would sit through the whole thing, LOL. I wonder if you filled it to the top if he'd eat faster until he got down to closer to the base of the cone. We'll never know because we feed him 3 cups a day in 3-meal increments.

It's nice to spend a little extra on a good quality machined product like this instead of some plastic piece-of-craft that your dog will destroy within a year.

I cannot rave enough about this bowl. I adopted a dog from the shelter that positively inhaled her food. I tried many other bowls. This one is very effective in slowing her down. Additionally, the bowl, which is beautiful, is made of a heavy weight stainless steel. Very sanitary and you can pop it in the dishwasher.

Love the simplicity of it for cleaning yet still slows the feeding down. Not plastic at all so my dog can not chew on any part of it. The skid proof rubber on the bottom is great and keeps it in its place. Not quite sure it has “suction” power but it slides stay out. Love that it’s stainless and easy to sanitize and clean.

The media could not be loaded. We have two dogs who get home cooked meals a lot. They inhale it and I worry that they may get boiled chicken caught in their throats as it can be on the dry side. So, we decided to try the bowl on Murphy first. The round reservoir has plenty of room for a large breed but perfect size to slow Murphy’s eating down. The quality of the Willow food bowl (bought with the Ozark water bowl) is better than expected. I like that it’s a satin finish so it won’t show fingerprints. You can hear our other dog gulping food next to Murphy in the video. Will be getting her a bowl!

I rarely write a review but in this case, I decided to make an exception. I was impressed with the look of this bowl prior to ordering it but was on the hunt for a new slow down bowl because my dog eats her food too fast. In spite of the high price of this bowl, I ordered it. It is well made and overall is a very nice bowl, but the opening around the middle is even bigger than what I already had. In order for this to be a true slow down bowl, it would need to be used by a dog with a very large muzzle. My dog is a Weimaraner and she is considered to be a large breed dog, but she gobbled up her food even faster with this bowl and ended up with a stomach ache later. Now the bowl sits in a cupboard not even being used. There should be a choice of sizes with this bowl because there is no way that one size fits all when it comes to dogs. What a waste for such a high priced bowl.

I bought this for my brother and his girlfriend’s dog as he’s a lab and gulps down his food. He’s also young and will chew up anything, so he needs a durable bowl. This bowl has totally slowed him down when he eats and it seems indestructible. As a bonus it looks really nice since it’s brushed stainless steel and the shape is cool too!
