    • Sturdy, readable and Accurate.
This is an amazingly accurate watch. I have been monitoring it for 19 days and it has lost 15 seconds in that period of time. That's amazing for a mechanical watch. I wind it every morning and check the time. It's sturdy, looks good as I am not into bling, and the watch looks like a field watch. The face is very readable yet it is not ungodly large like most of the watches I viewed. The thin nature of the watch and it's sturdy build make it excellent for the type of work and physical activities I do every day around the property. It doesn't get caught up on my sleeve or equipment I am using. I will say the night illumination is lousy. But I'll keep this watch as my daily and only watch and it looks like it will outlast me. ... show more

Overall I love the watch! I spent a LOT of time looking for the right field watch. I had owned a Hamilton Khaki field watch 30 years ago...quartz and while I loved the look, the quartz movement wasn't the best and it eventually succumbed to some moisture issues. For the last 10 years or so I wore a Timex 1854 T-Series which looked great but had an electrical short in the indiglo thing. I specifically wanted something rugged and with some vintage credibility. 24 hour markings would be ok, if they are subtle..,the point in a simple, rugged analog watch is to be able to read at a glance. And I definitely not want something that looks like a Rolex knock off. Hard these days. Very pleased with the fit and finish of the crystal. Crown and lugs could be touch smaller/tighter. The case thickness is a great balance of thin and chunky...a nice matte finish. The sweep of the second is not as crisp as some more expensive movements, but is still pleasing. Night time luminescence is just fair. I know the description says the face is green and many other reviewers have complained that photo is misleading as it looks black, but the fact is the dial is sort of a dark greenish gray? In bright sunlight it has the same tone as the strap, but most of the time you'd be hard pressed to tell if its black or gray or dark green. Its dark enough that the white markings read with high contrast. ... show more

I use this for my work watch. I love everything about this watch. Easy to read dial, love the homage/style to the old field watches issued to the military back in the day. The band is actually of nice quality, i thought i would need to change it out but I'm not going to. Keeps very accurate time for a mechanical, I lose about 1 sec a day give or take which is fantastic. The only real downside to me is the water resistance, for this watch to have a solid caseback and sapphire crystal, I would expect at least 100m for this price but aside from that, that's my only real complaint. This is the second Hamilton i have added to my collection and i am very happy with my purchase. ... show more

    • Vendor sent a used broken watch.
The vendor sent me a used or returned merchandise. The watch was loose inside the box like someone forgot to strap it down to the pillow. The original protection lining was missing. The watch stopped working within 3 days, the movement did not feel right like someone had damaged the winding mechanism. I returned it here but bought it again from a reputable dealer. The product performs as expected. Have not tested water resistance. I showered with it once, and all is good. Just ensure the crown is fully screwed in. The crown is a bit big, but it does not bother me. Comfortable to wear and easy to read. Lumination is good in the dark.

It's my fault, I didn't fully read or understand or something like that. This watch is NOT an automatic winding watch. You must manually wind it with the crown. It's still a classic, clean military style field watch that invokes austere field conditions with its plain dial. Doubly so if you swap out the stock band with a proper NATO strap. ... show more

I’ve had this watch for a little over a month now, so I feel pretty comfortable giving it a review. It’s easy to read and seems well made for its price point, for a Swiss watch. I like that the Crystal has a slight dome to it and isn’t just flat. I’ve been tracking the accuracy for 1month, the one I got is about 2.5 seconds a day slow. I did change the strap out, the one it comes with is ok. Overall I’m happy with this watch and enjoy owning it. ... show more
