The micro fiber Terry cloth is very soft, not heavy, and the design that I chose is very pretty. Unfortunately I will be returning it, therefore I cannot comment on performance regarding drying time or absorbency. Although I think it would be suitable for a smaller woman/child; I’m a plus size woman who wears 2X/3X and it just doesn’t fit comfortably or look good on me. Regarding the width I don’t think it would fit a person larger than me. I was happy with the length as a cover-up. I definitely couldn’t use it to cover myself up while getting changed though as stated in the product description. It would be suitable for a child to do that. When I was trying it on, I felt claustrophobic as I was trying to put my head through the small opening. It’s too snug for my liking, almost felt choked. It’s for this reason I will be returning it. The hood is quite large if you like that. If I was going to keep it, I would probably cut the hood off as it’s just too much fabric hanging behind my neck. I’m disappointed that the neckline is so small. If it weren’t for that, I would probably use it and make it do even though it wasn’t very flattering on my plus size body. Some people commented about the stitching being loose. I carefully looked over mine and the stitching looked perfectly fine. I liked the nice big kangaroo pocket which is was sewn on very nicely. I’m sorry I couldn’t give it a better score due to the small opening for your head. This is definitely not a one size fits all. ... show more

The light purple surf poncho is cute and roomy, but it isn’t as described. The fabric is not soft at all—it feels quite rough. The description says it is 187 cm wide, but mine measures approximately 168 cm around the poncho under the arms. The fit is closer to my 3XL hoodie rather than the advertised 6XL sizing, although it is longer and reaches my knees at 5'1". I’m washing it with fabric softener to see if the material improves. It should still work for drying off and changing at the beach or pool, but it won’t be replacing my previous swim cover. While not a thick-pile terry (as usual with towels or robes), this shorter-pile terry is very soft, flowy & roomy after pool/beach; dries promptly. Colorful fabric and elbow-length, wide sleeves. Tolerating multiple washings per week, retaining colors, shape and stitching. Torso portion could be an inch or two longer. I love this big terry cloth poncho robe. No more battling a front close robe with a belt that always falls open. I put this on after showering and can wear it around comfortably while getting ready for work or bed. It is warm to me so not sure about wearing at the beach in the summer but perfect for home right now. I have washed it several times and it is still soft and holding shape and no unraveling.
