  • Black snatch-block
Good quality ATV snatch block. It should last a long time for its intended purpose.

  • Great small block for ATV/UTV use
Originally bought the Extreme Max 5600.3093 which was cute, appeared sturdy and probably has some utility in some applications - but I couldn't get a soft shackle through the opening. Returned it and bought this KFI ATV block - roughly the same price but has a larger shackle opening. I use it for general ATV work with a 2500lb winch (3/16" synthetic line): logging, extraction, etc. The KFI is slightly larger but rated @ 8K lbs (vice 4K) and still small enough to get stowed away on the ATV somewhere. I find snatch blocks more useful than rings sometimes since the line tends to fall out of rings when untensioned. Good video review up here showing the 2 SBs side by side. Note that I am ruthless with the winch (Badland 2500) and frequently find myself pulling stuff so heavy (or on a "weird" angle) I have to anchor the back of the quad to a tree - have not "exploded" it yet - nor have I lubricated it. Good product and can recommend. Lately I find myself using 2 of these (with tree straps) for more complex angle changes and longer runs pulling logs or boulders from across the creek - fits both the 3/16" synthetic line on my winch and my 1/4" extension rope without issue. ... show more

  • Who knew what a snatch block was? It’s awesome now that I know.
This is heavy duty and for 17 bucks seemed like the best price. Very heavy duty metal and I would believe it likely will handle the capacities stated. Can’t wait to try my new snatch block! For those who aren’t sure what a snatch block is it is a pulley that will provide double the force of simply pulling on the rope, each snatch block or pulley, that you add, apparently multiplies the force, additionally. One snatch block on a pulley makes a 500 pound weight only 250 pounds of pull, etc. The snatch block is different than a regular pulley and that you don’t have to feed the line through it. The block opens up so that you can just snatch it right onto the cable or rope without him, doing your whole harness. ... show more

  • KFI Products ATV-SB Snatch Block
I picked this up for my atv emergency kit. Worked out good the times I needed to winch my boys atv out of mud holes.

  • Buy this Snatch Block - You'll be glad you did!!
This snatch block is exactly what we needed. Item is well built right here in the USA and it has some heft to it when you hold it and you can feel the quality. We used it to two-part a winch cable to load a gun safe into an enclosed car trailer (4000lb Superwinch). Pulling straight on with the winch cable would have been too fast and risk making for a bad day. Using the snatch block slowed the rate of travel and increased the pulling capacity. The massive gun safe we were pulling was well over 1,200lb. and thus not the cheap kind you buy at a box store. The transport dolly-wheels were tested in this event, but all in all a success. Needless to say, all that were involved in this event were impressed with the quality of the KFI ATV-SB snatch block...additional sales soon followed. KFI Products ATV-SB Snatch Block ... show more

  • Wow what a handy item to have around. I love it.
I initially bought this because I'd bought a 1 ton winch for my four wheeler, and I liked the idea of being able to double the pulling power. I didn't think it was a big deal since 2,000 pounds is heavier than my ATV. However, if you actually read the winch manuals you'll find that with most winches power rating drops the longer you run the motor and the farther out you run the cable. So now the idea of mechanical advantage really made sense. The block is stout and heavy with powder coated steel plates and what looks like an aluminum pulley. I'm sure it could hold up to a half inch cable no problem. When you get one you'll start finding all sorts of other uses. I've attached a photo of me using mine with rope to pull a broken lawnmower up a ramp into my pickup using my ATV. These really make tough jobs a lot easier. Combine with a tree strap and you have many more options if you get stuck. ... show more

  • Nice snatchblock at a reasonable price.
I use this not for ATV winching, but to cut firewood. A good snatch block is an essential tool for skidding logs around stumps, getting widow-makers down, helping with stuck saws, and felling trees in a direction they don't want to naturally fall. For all of these I hook rope to a farm tractor and either use the tractor or lift the bucket to pull on the tree. If you don't have something to change the direction of your pull, you pull the tree on top of yourself. The only block I found locally was a 3.5 ton monster at the tractor store that sold for $40 plus tax. This is the right size for what I do in every way. It's the "Goldie Locks" of snatch blocks. There is no way I will ever be able to damage or wear out this KFI model using it the way I do. Works with rope up to 7/16". The only change I would make is a high-viz coating (will be applying spray paint). Also I can't tell if it was made in the USA, which would be a bonus. Use with a tree saver. ... show more
