This one honestly hasn’t seemed worth the money *for our space*… we spent $400 on a brand new 12k BTU Ac last summer that blasts us into frozen cold goodness within minutes & throughout much of the apartment. But this one was $250+, and honestly felt pretty weak. Our room isn’t even the max square footage- we got a slightly higher BTU just in case, too. I think the issue is with higher ceilings; we aren’t working with cathedral ceilings over here, but I suppose the bedroom does have higher than average ceilings since we are on the top floor. The extra 1k BTUs of our 8 year old moldy AC actually blew this brand new one out of the water. In fact, we ended up taking apart & scrubbing the old one & putting it back in our bedroom, and then we stuck this new one in the office, where we have used it maybe 5 days out of this summer.. Honestly, I would’ve returned it if it wasn’t so cumbersome of an item to lug to the Return hub. Again, it’s not *terrible* or anything - but would not recommend for a room with higher ceilings. Probably just fine for just under max square footage, for one person… I guess we could give it a nod for the energy efficiency- we barely use it so hasn’t bumped up our energy bill lol ... show more

The media could not be loaded. For this to be almost $300 this is very mediocre and underwhelming. It doesn't have that "powerful" force of air and is not very cold. It will make the room comfortable but won't hold up in the summer. I will have to get another unit. It is spring and it really isn't doing much in my room and my room is small! I can't imagine getting through the summer with this a/c unit. The best part is that it comes with a remote and the noise level is low, comfortable and calming. If anything, it will be good for a kid's room or elderly adult room. ... show more

Despite the fact due to room size I should have bought a 10-12,000 BTU and this is only a 6,000, this air conditioner works extremely well. Mind your room size especially if you have high ceilings. I would always go with the higher BTU. When it was in the mid 90s farenheit with high humidity it had a bit of difficulty keeping the 20x17 room icy cold. It has cooled the room beautifully most of the time, however, with very little noise. I leave it on 24-7. Also very energy efficient. Highly recommend. ... show more

Nice 6000 BTU window AC. Easy to install and compact in comparison to the 5000 BTU it replaced. Nice cold air. Vent system is nicely thought out for direction of air flow. Very quiet when running. Remote control has advanced features such as Sensor Mode which essentially turns the remote into a thermostat for the AC. Can be placed on a bedside table and use it for sensing temperature instead of the AC itself. Makes a difference if you're some distance from the unit. ... show more

Frustrated!! I did so much research to ensure getting an AC that will fit in my narrow 17-inch window. My plan was to install the unit without the panels and cover up any gap with insulation. BUT the unit without the side panels is ACTUALLY 18.5 INCHES, not 16 inches like it advertises. It doesn't fit. I now have to repackage it and somehow bring it UPS without a car.
