I didn’t want to use my Roland RD2000 nor my Casio WK7500 as my midi keyboard, so I bought the MAudio Keystation 88 to serve in that capacity. And although it does the job to a degree, if I knew what I know now, I would have used my Casio 73 keys as my midi keyboard and used my Roland for direct audio recordings, and passed on the keystation88. ... show more

A cheap keyboard that feels more like a toy than a musical instrument. The keyboard is so light that I Velcroed it to the keyboard stand to keep it from moving about while playing. The semi-weighted keys claim is a freakin' joke. Think of a poor synth action with a smidget more spring tension. And the keys are slippery plastic and a magnet for the natural oils from your fingers. It's an absolutely horrible playing experience if you try to play anything halfway challenging. You may get by if you're only using this for laying down simple tracks into a DAW but for any serious playing, just forget about it. M-AUDIO should be ashamed of themselves trying to pass this overgrown toy off as pro audio equipment. ... show more
