I've been using this lock for 4 months and love everything about it... until I didn't. It has all the features I wanted like fingerprint, RFID, code entry, autolock, and a physical key for a great price. Then hurricane Idalia came through and we got some torrential rain. I don't know if the lock got wet inside or what, but it would not open or accept any inputs (fingerprint, RFID or codes). It would not reset by either of the two methods and the bolt would not open with the key. It would open and close from the inside. Eventually the key worked from the outside, but opening by any other method was hit or miss. I had to make sure I took my key whenever I left the house. As it dried out (maybe?) it started working again until just now. I took out the trash and the door autolocked. When I tried to open it the little motor whirred, but the bolt didn't pull back all the way. I had to wake someone to get in the house. I hope the manufacturer reads these reviews. I would love to buy another one and chalk it up to a defective unit, but now I'm leery about it. **Update 2023-09-26 I have revised my review for this product from 2 to 5 stars. After my 2 star review, I was contacted by the tech support team and they sent me a brand new lock within 2 days. It turns out the failure of the lock was my fault. As I mentioned in my original review, the lock started malfunctioning after hurricane Idalia came through central Florida. Water had collected in the electronics case and corroded the components. The source of the water, however, turned out to be my fault. There were two screw holes in the door above the lock and the driving rain entered these holes and damaged the lock. The new lock works perfectly (and I plugged the holes!) Thanks to the tech service team for their patience. I highly recommend this lock now. ... show more

I have another brand at my primary residence and wanted a smart lock for our Mountain home. This was as easy to install as any other brand. I really like the key fob as it's more convenient than messing with keys. When you have full hands. The key code and single press lock works fine. My only complaint is that our registered fingerprints often don't work. After a few tries, it sounds an alarm and stops us from using other methods to enter. Also, I wish they included Bluetooth connectivity for an app. I'd love to be able to see who is coming and going based on access code used as well as remotely creating one time use codes. I turned off the voice commands which isn’t a great idea for configuration. Also misplaced my manual. Messaged customer service and got a prompt reply with the manual I needed! The fobs work great, the finger print reader, if setup right (think setting up the fingerprint on your phone) works 100% of the time. I love that you have so many options for configuring and an emergency port for power to get you in if the batteries die. This is an under rated feature in my opinion. ... show more

    • My Elderly Disabled Wife is JAZZED by This Lock!

The locks in our front door would always bind, making the door hard to open or close. In order to use this much-desired deadbolt, I had to fix the hole at the strike plate after 8 years. While I was at it, I replaced the lever lock (below this deadbolt) and fixed the hole on that one too. The instructions were great; however, like so many others, the print was very small. I was however able to complete installation using the small text. (Afterward, I scanned and created a PDF and printed it larger to help in the future.) • Brass keys make a nice backup (provided 3, had 2 more made) • Fingerprint worked as described but is very touchy. Eventually, I plan to do a series of fingerprint captures of my index finger with various placement for each, so that any way I touch it should work. • Keypad codes work well. They are a little bit touchy but you can get used to it. • The fob entry feature is GREAT!!! We both always use this for entry. (provided 2, I ordered 3 more and all 5 were recorded by the lock and work, providing a quick backup if we lose one, without needing to record them later. —My wife is disabled and yet very busy with our nonprofit. She uses a stairlift to go from the driveway to the porch, often carrying things. When she dismounts the stairlift, she can now have her fob in hand and easily open the door, often without needing to set things down first...a HUGE plus! • The ONE TOUCH to LOCK feature is very, very handy. Wake up the keypad, then press and hold the #. • Locking and Unlocking from (manually) inside the house is simple and much like a regular deadbolt; however, I like the feel of the action much better. • Incredibly cool is that the lock talks to you (quietly). When you one touch lock it, it whirs, then says "Locked". When you key in a code, it tells you if your entry failed and to try again...and if code entry was successful, it whirs, then says "Unlocked". It also ques you verbally with instructions while programming. Using the keypad takes practice, but it works very well. Practicing with the door open helps (so you don't lock yourself out for 2 minutes when you don't get it right. The keypad must be awakened (show numbers) before you enter a code, do any recording/programming, or use the one touch lock feature. The lock looks good outside and inside the house. Desiring to have this nice lock got me to fix my front door locks, making life easier. While I was at it and in the mood, I also replaced the deadbolt and lever lock in the back door which had similar "hard to open and close" issues. 5 STARS is well deserved. ... show more

I mainly bought this for the fingerprint lock and unlocking technology. I love this feature. it makes coming and going in and out of our backdoor simple. the Deadbolt was very important to me as well. the Deadbolt on this lock is much stronger than the original one we had on our back door. I watched my husband take off the old door lock and handle to install this one. it must have took him under thirty minutes to complete the whole process. it wasn't a difficult job, but he did take his time to read the instructions to make sure he installed everything properly. all in all, I would say from the good quality and the smart features, this smart lock was a good deal. ... show more
