Excellent product with some surprising features
This case is brilliant. Very easy to pair with my 3rd Generation iPad Pro 12.9 inch. I had read about issues with the pen holder (it didn't charge, it was difficult to pop in and out of its slot, etc.), but I found none of these things to be the case. The pen fits in and pops out quite easily while still being held snugly, and it started charging immediately. There were no problems with the volume buttons either, as had been noted by another buyer. Another feature that I had not seen before on other such cases, is that the track pad can be turned on and off as needed. I have had issues with other cases where I would accidentally touch the track pad while typing, and have the cursor move so that I was typing where I didn't want to be. The track pad turns on and off with a quick (and easily identifiable) combination keystroke. And the connection remains constant so long as I'm using it. There is a generous "grace period" when I'm not actively typing, where I can begin typing after a several minutes long break without needing to reconnect. That being said, the connection will break and need to be reconnected after several minutes, but this is a minor concern. The instructions are a little small and hard to read if you don't have absolutely perfect vision. But you can do the thing with your smart phone where you take a picture of the part you want to read and increase the size of the picture. The instructions (little instruction necessary, actually, but still) and the layout explanations (what each of the buttons and keystroke combinations do) are very easy to follow, and the keys used for combinations are clearly illustrated on the keyboard. The piece that holds the iPad feels solid, while also being light. It folds out all the way flat, and the 360 degree swivel allows you to use it like a true tablet (where other cases will only fold out 75 degrees). Since I also use my iPad as an e-reader while on the elliptical or treadmill, it's nice to be able to just turn this around flat to fit on the machine's stand without having to disconnect it from the case. Even has a cute backlight function, which I likely will not use, but might be useful if I ever find myself unable to sleep but unwilling to get out of bed, so that I can use it in the dark and not awaken my spouse. I'm very happy with this product. And at a fraction of the price of others I considered with all of the same features. ... show more

Relatively functional…
I needed to replace an Apple folio keyboard cover that finally gave out after 3 1/2 years. This is not that. It protects the iPad well, including the camera. However, when the keyboard is inside the cover, it is too thick for the iPad to detect it is closed and automatically shut off. I wish the cover had magnets at the bottom where the pencil is supposed to be stored to engage with notch in the cover, so that it is more secure in the viewing position (like the Apple folio keyboard). Also, as others noted, the keyboard hits the screen when inside the cover. The keyboard itself is just a super-slim, stand alone, Bluetooth keyboard that you could pair with any Bluetooth device. Frustrated
Worked great for about a week then started to randomly loose connection and/or keys would stop working. Have to switch to iPad keyboard more often than not when using.

Pros- nice snug fit that is holding my iPad and Apple Pencil safe & sound. Lightweight enough that it’s not adding bulk. I like the way the keyboard can be removed entirely and that it lights up and types with ease. Cons- the snug case fits in such a way that the usb port is not easily accessed. Whe. I plug it in, I must tug at the part that is acting as part of the bezel frame and flex it a little to fit the usb in. This might annoy me more over time but I don’t care enough to return it. Along the same lines, my keyboard has two F2 keys. The F1 search function still works… it’s just the wrong key cap. Again… not something I care about enough to return it. Overall - I’m really happy with the function for the price. My last keyboard case was 4-5 times the cost and was extremely heavy and the fit was horrid. So for this price point, I am pleased with the function even if the quality isn’t perfect. ... show more

From iPad to Macbook- Wow this is cool!

I normally don’t leave reviews- but this case is AMAZING! Works GREAT. I am VERY impressed! Love the mousepad. Nothing wrong with it at all- only tiniest flaw I found was the color on the T key was flaking off- but nothing too crazy. Highly recommend! This turned my iPad into a laptop!

Excellent Value - China wins again unfortunately
I replaced a 12.9" iPad Pro case that had been warn out and did not have a keyboard nor did it have very good tilt opens. This model was far less than others costing $100+ and the bluetooth keyboard connected quickly, lit up with different color options and seems to work great. I'm charging it now, so don't know how long the battery life lasts yet. Will write another review if that ends up being an issue or I feel it is very good and worth writing about. The case quality if what I expected - good - and it folds nicely with the keyboard inside. I like that i can easily remove the keyboard that is held in place with a magnet for times I just want to take iPad without a keyboard. I'm imaging this will work very well on an airplane tray which is the test I got it for. Yes, China wins again, dernit, as I can't find this locally as this price point. We've got to find a way to compete in quality and price point, but I guess that is for another forum and longer discussion. ;-) ... show more
