I had been using Da Wax for a while, which is interestingly not on Amazon anymore. Good riddance. The quality went downhill quickly, so I looked for a replacement. This stuff is awesome. Smells like you're spiking your hair up with a glazed donut. My girlfriend loves it. She can play with my hair without her hands getting coated in product. It looks natural with no shine, smells good, and lasts perpetually. And I mean perpetually. You REALLY need to wash your hair thoroughly to get this stuff out. 5 stars all day.

Bom dot com. Works great. Good hold. Excellent texture. Love the smell! A b**** to get out...the seceret... aussie 3 minute miracle moist conditioner. Leave in for 15 minutes then wash out. I switched over from Kevin Murphy Free Hold to this product. I was looking for stronger hold and a more natural matte shine. This product delivers both. It easily allows me to achieve the style I am looking for. Out of the jar this product is very hard and needs to be warmed up in your hands to be moldable before application. A little goes a long way, you can always apply more, so I anticipate this lasting a long time. The scent is subtle and pleasant, less than other Kevin Murphy hair pomades. This holds my hair all day, allows for readjustment, and keeps my hair feeling healthy. The reason for 4/5 is the washability. Although this product doesn't appear greasy in your hair it definitely feels like it. You will absolutely need to shampoo your hair after using this product. A water rinse will not even phase it. So if you're someone who doesn't like to shampoo daily, this product might not be for you.

I started buying Kevin Murphy Roughrider for my husband years ago from the salon where I got my hair done. I loved the Kevin Murphy products they used on me so I figured he would like this. And I was right. Then along comes Covid n the salon was shut down. It has since reopened, but during that time, he was running low on this product. I checked Amazon n they had it so I bought it n have continued to purchase it from Amazon ever since bc the price was less than the salon price. The great thing about this product is that a little product goes a long way. Yes, it’s pricey ( for our pocket book) but it lasts a good six months even with daily usage. No flaking, it doesn’t make ur hair look greasy n he can style his hair for whatever life throws at him. It’s a great product that works using minimal effort. I just asked him if he would recommend it to anyone else n he said without hesitation, absolutely!

It’s a bit greasier than I expected based off the description and the reviews. My prior clay had zero greasiness and better hold for being a light hold. More shine to it than expected as well. I used a very small amount. Not something I will try again, for the price per oz its not great.

I bought this because Hudson Williams told me to, and he was correct as per usual. Great hold, easy to create a messy look, smells good, and a little bit goes a long way. I’ve seen some people comment that it’s hard to wash out but I haven’t found that to be the case. It’s 2026; y’all need to throw out the 7-in-1, start to double shampoo, and use a separate conditioner.
