I dinged it a star because the instructions stated at the end = do not tighten it up fully - otherwise the crossbars will not go into place. They should have stated that at the beginning. lol! Leave the footboard a bit loose as well as the crossbars at the head and foot that are screwed into place - and even then you will need to press downward hard on the crossbars to fully seat them before final tightening. Also be warned = you will need mattress brackets lest your mattress slide all over. As you cannot tell by the photo the bars on the frame are 1" wide so brackets will need to be able to accommodate at least that size. This frame is very sturdy and durable. I love the look and how easy it was to assemble. Took 2 people about 45 minutes. Could do it alone if needed. We’ve been sleeping on it a few months now and there hasn’t been any issues. No squeaking or noises of any kind. If you’re thinking about buying it, do it. The weight capacity compared to others is much higher. Which shows how durable it is. If you plan to store under your bed, there is ample space to do so. ... show more

Great for a spare bed, an apartment bed, and/or a bed for your cabin. Everything went together well. I prefer to use my own tools than the single Allen wrench and the wrench provided, but they will work if you don't have tools.

I had my teen son put it together. No problem! He had to only take the headoard apart once. Directions come as a 3x5 book with microscopic pictures but we got it done and it is perfect. I found a matching nightstand and WOW it is the pert look for a teenage boy. He's happy so I'm happy!

    • The slats bent and the support legs underneath broke.

The slats bent and the support legs broke. The fasteners were really weak and the metal was cheap garbage for the bed frame. The headboard and footboard are nice. This happened with very little use in our guest room.
