I have been looking to replace my inexpensive all-purpose tarps that are falling apart and no longer have all of their grommets. I figured I would get two more cheap tarps from our local hardware store. When I saw the KESFITT Store's "12 Mil Heavy-Duty Waterproof Tarp with Metal Grommets" advertised on Amazon, I couldn't resist ordering one that would likely last longer than a year. As stated on the product page, the KESFITT tarp is designed specifically for outdoor use, with two waterproof layers. My intended use for the tarp demands mainly that it is paint-proof. For example, every one or two years, I repaint our outdoor metal furniture, after our rainy season ends. The furniture is painted on the tarp, using it as a drop cloth. This year, we are also planning to repaint our house. I use a canvas drop cloth to protect the roof, and I use plastic to protect outdoor areas adjacent to the house, including walkways, patio, and deck, from accidental spills. I probably should have ordered a larger tarp for repainting the house, but I tend to move the tarp from one area to the next as I progress. The KESFITT plastic tarp is heavier than the ones I expected to use, and it's more likely to remain in place on windy days, especially when I secure it using the heavy-duty grommets. I also like having two sides, particularly the reflective side for heat and sun protection during the summer and early fall here in California. I hope to be using this durable, 12mil tarp for considerably longer than those it replaces. I think it's currently value priced.

I wasn’t sure how much there is to say about a tarp, but this one actually impressed me more than I expected. Right out of the package, it has that sturdy, heavy‑duty feel that tells you it’s not going to tear the first time the wind kicks up or you drag it across something rough. The material feels thick and substantial, not flimsy or plasticky like some of the cheaper tarps I’ve bought in the past. The construction looks solid all the way around — the seams are reinforced, the edges are finished cleanly, and the grommets feel secure instead of loose or thin. Everything about it gives the impression that it’s designed to handle real outdoor use, whether that’s covering equipment, protecting firewood, or throwing it over something during bad weather. It lays flat without feeling stiff, but it also doesn’t feel like it’s going to stretch out or get brittle. Durability is always the big question with tarps, and while I haven’t had it long enough to test it through every season, the overall build quality makes me feel confident it’ll hold up well. It just has that “made to last” vibe — the kind of tarp you buy once and don’t have to replace every few months. Overall, it’s a simple product, but a good one. If you’re looking for a tarp that’s genuinely heavy duty and feels like it can take some abuse, this one seems like a solid choice.

I ordered a 10x12 to go over a 10x10 kennel and i do believe that the measurements are incorrect because it was too small and didn't cover the whole 10x10 kennel. I would try to return it but can't get it folded right to put back in the plastic package that it came in as it didn't come in a box or anything.

I finally got the opportunity to use this tarp. It's extremely heavy duty, and I expect it to hold up very well for my purpose. I found the reinforcement grommets to be well spaced, and well made. The material had no obvious defects, and is uniform in manufacturing. That said, it's a tarp. It's a semi-disposable product that gains utility based on the value provided. This tarp is at least as quality as anything you're likely to find in a local store, and probably a little bit heavier duty, too. I'm satisfied with it's performance.

This is a very large size tarp which is made with thick waterproof material and has very well stitched reinforced corners. My previous tarp got damaged at the corners because the grommets came off or became loose. The grommets in this are very well installed and they are strong to hold well when fastening with a heavy rope. I got this to cover the building material we got for construction of basement. It is large to cover the pile properly and is waterproof to protect the material from rain. This double sided tarp has blue side to cover material and silver side reflects heat and is good for covering vehicles and helps keep it cool in summers. We also plan to use it for family campings to put over the tent for extra protection from heat and rain. For the large size, it is not too heavy but does a good job protecting from harsh weather conditions.
