It does the job of keeping your screen private and dark so that onlookers will not be able to see your screen from the side. However, if someone sits directly behind you, they may still be able to see your screen, which makes sense, of course. I also like that you can choose between a glossy side or a matte side. The only downside for me is that because the screen is dark, it's difficult to see my screen despite having my brightness on max. this privacy is the best option out there to buy, the only downside is that the laptop does not close 100% all the way with it on, and it can be susceptible to bending.

The media could not be loaded. This privacy screen works great! I had no trouble installing it, and my MacBook still closes and goes to sleep as normal. It does a great job of obscuring the screen and works exactly like I wanted it to. One small annoying thing is that it gets bubbles under the screen. I have the matte side facing out, so I know it’s because the glossy side is sticking to my screen. It does what I need it to. However, mine came with a kink at the bottom and protrudes out. Making it so I cannot use the Matt side--only the gloss side. Otherwise it facilitates my needs.

So this product will not block the view of your screen if the person is standing right behind you. It will block their view If they are at an angle. Right out of the box, just un-package and let it snap in place. It finds its own center. You may notice that you need to brighten up your screen but that’s the idea, no one else can see your work. I use this at airports and on planes where nosy neighbors are watching my screen. I don’t need them to see my business and work.
