The media could not be loaded. I purchased this fountain to replace another floor fountain that I broke while trying to clean it on my patio. It slipped and broke into pieces. Floor fountains are very expensive and seem to all have a basic style so this one caught my eye as its styling was a little unique imo with the water streams at the top and then a waterfall portion below that so I pulled the trigger and I'm not disappointed. The box it comes in is huge. It was very well packed in Styrofoam but likewise plan on setting aside some time to clean all of the Styrofoam out of the fountain before you put it together and fill it with water. The fountain seems to be well built. The body is made out of metal and the waterfall portion are pieces of slate. The assembly instructions were simple and easy to understand. After cleaning assembly took maybe 5 minutes as all you have to do is attach the base to the waterfall portion and screw in two screws. I anxiously filled it up with water and turned it on. Water initially was splashing outside the fountain but after I got it level the outside splashing stopped. So make sure you level it AND put a shim in the front so that it will be leaning backwards slightly. This helps keep the water that's running down the waterfall contained within the fountain. The fountain comes with 4 leveling shims. The light is pretty bright and makes a great mood light in my mancave at night. It actually has two lights. One at the top for the streams of water and one at the bottom for the waterfall. They are both controlled by one switch but you can run the fountain without having to turn the lights on and vice versa. If you want a "loud" fountain then you won't be disappointed. The streams are very loud but I like it..if you want a subtle fountain then look elsewhere. My only complaint will be cleaning. The base has a lip in it so that makes dumping water out of it harder. I don't see an easy way to clean it yet but there is an access opening in the rear which allows you to adjust water flow and service the pump without having to drain the fountain. If you use some fountain algaecide then you shouldn't have to clean it that often but it looks like it will be a chore since 4 gallons can be heavy and the lip in the base makes it harder to drain by pouring so it looks like the best way to drain it will be to scoop out the water using a cup. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there..all in all I love this fountain and recommend you check it out if you're looking for a nice showpiece ... show more

    • Beautiful fountain, but you need some adjustments

This fountain is beautiful to look at and easy to put together. That being said, it does requires some adjustments to make it better. First, while you are assembling the fountain, turn the pump to the *low* setting. On high, water does tend to splash. If you have it inside, turning the pump to low is imperative, to keep splashing down. This is much harder to do after assembly, so do it while assembling. Second, float two or 3 small (~2”x2”) sponge pieces in the top reservoir. This will reduce splashing as well. Third, buy additional river rocks. There are just enough to fill the bottom tray, but I have found that adding a few of them on top of the “splash screen”, so that the water hits them instead of the screen, produces a more pleasant sound. Also, keep in mind that this is a LOUD fountain. Even with the pump on low, it is loud. If you prefer a softer sound, this fountain isn’t for you. ... show more

I bought this fountain a year ago, approximately I have been out of town and majority of the year. I finally opened it today because I have a party coming up to find out. The only thing in the box was the fountain metal parts rocks, and the plug-in connection. It’s missing everything to make the fountain run; screws shims, pump, rubber hose, metal washers, Allen wrench, guiding pad etc., very disappointed ... show more

    • Some tricks to make it work better

So at first it was splashing like mad - so a trick is to cut about 2" of a sponge and place inside the upper reservoir on each side below the "splash screen'. That shortens the distance the water falls and keeps it from splashing out front. Second trick is get some stones and put in the bottom tank where the pump goes. The media could not be loaded. Such a beautiful addition to any room or outside space. The lighting is perfect, not too bright like many that I've seen. I have issues with noise but I can tolerate this usually for a good hour. Keep distilled water on hand! The product description says to use distilled water but many people (myself included) didn't read that part...definitely a good purchase ... show more

Update: Sad to say that it has rusted and the lighting element no longer works. Super bummed out. I plan to reach out and ask about any type of warranty. I was not expecting it to rust this badly in less than a year. Original review: I just received the fountain today and it is beautiful. It was very simple to assemble and matched the product description. The only issue is that there was a chip on the slate at the very top that is driving me buts to look at. Hopefully I will hear back from the company about fixing that. (update-did not hear back) ... show more

    • Not a Bad item but not worth the Price

I purchased this item however when I did I left the box in the garage and it get thrown away if it was not I would have send it back. Not worth the money the I paid. The lighting is not very brite at night and the water ends up shooting out no matter how much I adjust the flow of the pump. Look elsewhere ... show more
