Description

Kennels are important for a wide variety of reasons. Pet owners frequently need them as boarding facilities during vacations, periods of upheaval or transition or whenever it becomes impractical for a cat or dog to be left at home. Serious enthusiasts need practical facilities for dealing with multiple animals and turn to kenneling to meet their requirements. Hobby kennels frequently become professional ventures offering boarding and grooming services while others are begun as businesses stressing pet boarding or housing show animals. If you have a serious interest in kennels, this valuable reference, by one of America's most respected authorities on the subject, will be your indispensible guide whether you are building, buying or converting part of your home as an animal environment. • Kennel Building and Management
Looking for a business after retirement, this book covered all possible questions on this topic. I found it very easy to read, understand and apply information listed. I would suggest it to anyone interested in starting a Kennel business.

  • Good info
Good info. A bit behind in energy efficiency ideas such as roof solar. A Brit book and refers to Brit building codes and standards which are similar to most US codes. A good starter reference on building or structure modifications for this purpose.

  • Very Basic
Agree with the person who said check it out from a library -not enough helpful info to make it worth buying or taking up room on a bookshelf.

  • Written 13 years ago, very simplistic and outdated.
This book might be good as a simple review for children interested in kennels. I found it to be very simplistic and filled with a lot of "common sense" information. If you are really interested in reading it, check your local library, it is just not worth the money.
