The wash cycle is over 3 hrs, it does not dry the dishes. We bought it in July and by April the entire control panel of buttons fell inside the door. We scheduled repair work through customer service with an 8 hr window for the serviceman. He texted me at 2:40 and 3:15 in the afternoon then called at 3:50 and berated me about not receiving his text messages. He then rudely proceeded to tell me he was 45 min away and had no intention of getting to my service ticket that day then said he’d work on rescheduling it. He texted me about an hr later and said there were no service appointments available. I then received 6 emails from Sears… 3 were the same message saying “attached is the agreed upon repair estimate you signed” and 3 more said “attached is a copy of your signature”. I'm furious because I did not agree to anything, nor did I sign anything. Total FORGERY! Do no buy anything from Kenmore, I never will again. ... show more

Remodeling my kitchen and really wanted a panel ready but man those are crazy expensive! This is the first dishwasher I’ve had that doesn’t need to pre wash the dishes in the sink first! Stuck on burned hamburger meat in a clad skillet that isn’t non stick came completely clean! The washer does have a rinse cycle, once the washer is full I run a quick rinse (if there’s stuck on food) then a regular cleaning cycle and have excellent results! Love the half load cycle options as well! We are putting in solid hardwood flooring in the kitchen so this type of washer that doesn’t omit steam from the bottom front of as important so steam won’t damage the wood. I can also run the cabinet toe kick right in front for a built in look. Most people will cut the toe kick so that if you need to remove the dishwasher you only need to pull off a small piece of the toe kick. Best dishwasher we’ve owned and my last one was a very expensive Maytag that currently sells for nearly twice as much. Also-super quiet-I had to place my hand on it to feel any vibrations cause I couldn’t hear it running!!! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have bought many dishwashers over the years and most of them were pretty mediocre, cost effective and such BUT none of them performed like this Kenmore. The third slot is an amazing addition HOWEVER, it did leave food on my utensils. I left off one star for that BUT I also feel that it could be user error. I have upside down pots on the top wrack which I BELIEVE blocked cleaning to the top level. It does come with two silverware baskets, for which I removed one for more room. That is a nice touch. There is a lot of room in this dishwasher and it's sort of customizable inside to accommodate the dishes each home may use. Another reason I left off the 5th start is that most of the cycles last for HOURS, it seems. I didn't time it though. I don't know if there is a water or power efficiency concept to this so take that into consideration. All in all, I'm very pleased with this dishwasher and highly recommend at 4 Star. ... show more

This dishwasher worked well for about a month. It will not dry anything at all, and barely washes things. We basically have to wash everything beforehand, so what's the point of having a dishwasher?

Bought this Kenmore dishwasher to replace my previous Kenmore dishwasher, which was great. This one's been a disappointment. My dishes aren't dry at all. Not just the plastic. Not even the silverware or the porcelain plates and bowls. And, yes, I followed the recommendations in the literature that came with the appliance and tried opening the door after the cycle finished. That didn't help. The "Extra Dry" button doesn't seem to make a difference, either. The design of the racks seems inefficient, too, compared with my previous Kenmore, and the racks seem smaller, even though it's the same size dishwasher. If Kenmore still made my old dishwasher I'd have bought a new one in a heartbeat, but of course that one's discontinued. ... show more

Very Noisy. Kenmore lies about 49 dBA. Decibel meter says 70+ dBA (every iPhone has decibel meter built in). We bought Kenmore to replace Thermador, which failed after 18 VERY SILENT years. Had to look at light to know it was running. If noise is an issue, live in apartment, condo, light sleepers, or TV room close by, do not buy this dishwasher; 49 dBA is a ruse. The media could not be loaded. We got this dishwasher because our old one was really loud when it was in use. We would have to turn the TV up super loud to hear over it. This one has a quiet mode and we are very pleased with the noise level of it! My husband was able to get it set up fairly quickly and easily. We also like that it has multiple settings to choose from depending on amount of dishes, long cycle, quick cycle, etc! Our old dishwasher also didn’t dry very well, and this one seems to dry a lot better! I also think it’s cool it has a little extra storage rack at the top where you can put knives and spatulas. Last but not least, I love how it looks and that the buttons are on the top.. which is a big bonus with a toddler who touches everything! ... show more
