  • Tire Wobbles when bike reaches 100 mph
Size: 120/70-17 F
Installed this front tire into my 2020 Suzuki GSX-S1000F. I replaced the rear tire in July 2024 with the same tire (DRSIII) as before since i got over 12K miles. Didn't think I will replace the front tire at that time since there still plenty of rubber left but after riding hard in the mountains I noticed the tire is cupping. While shopping for a new tire, i came accross Kenda KM1 and wanted to try since it is almost half the price of DRSIII. While balancing the tire, i had to use a full strip of iron weights [consisting of 8 1/4 oz] . In comparison, the tire it replaced has 0 weights added to it. Prior to scrubbing i felt it is harder to turn the bike. Went and finished scrubbing the tire for 100 miles with speed maxed to 60 mph. After that turning the bike is much easier however, i went and accelerate the bike really hard and no wobble is felt until 100 mph. Repeat and accelerate slowly with no problem until the speed reaches 100 mph and it starts to wobble. Accelerate the bike hard will bring the front tire in the air such that momentary wobble is felt but this is entirely different. It seems this is my first and last Kenda KM1 tire. ... show more

  • Better than expected!
Size: 110/70-17 F
I was a bit hesitant on getting these tire mostly because it’s my first motorcycle tire replacement. Followed the size guide for my bike and man these tires are nice! Perfect price, size, quality, traction on them is great. I had a friend install them super easy and no vibration or issues at all!!

  • Worth a shot
Size: 140/70-17 R
I came unto this tire from a Dunlop gpr300 Bike I put it on is a Honda Cbr300r Overall the Kenda km1 has a bit more of a square profile being a "sport touring" tire and as expected it definitely does not fall into a turn quite as easily. I run the tire a couple psi higher at 33-34psi to compensate a bit for the unresponsiveness. I have had no issues with grip in rain, gravel, sand, ect. My driveway would be fun for a dirtbike or a jeep and I take my "sport" bike up and down it almost everyday with very little issue on the Kenda tire. Only time I have started to lose grip was in a roundabout banked down to the outside, I was certainly going to fast, but have no delusions, this is a touring sport tire not a supersport tire :) I did slip on a patch of silty gravel a couple days ago, but I think most street tires would have done the same. I can tell both in mounting the tire as well as riding that it is much stiffer and feels like a harder compound of rubber so im hoping I will get a decent amount of miles out of it I have put a little over 1,000 miles on the tire and it is holding up as well as you would expect. If I dont sell the bike before a new tire... ill try and update to mileage I got out of it Balanced it myself with the power of gravity and it took 3 1/4oz weights. Its not perfect, a bit of buzz in the 70mph territory. Entirely possible it would only take 2 weights if you get it more spot on. Overall.. I don't think I would really recommend it... at least for all the fast cats out there. However at this price range I think it would be hard to beat. That said I do plan on getting the matching front tire, but after that I will move on. ... show more

NOT PUNCTURE RESISTANT!! i just installed this kenda km1 150/60r17 in march 2024...good in all weather, good traction and falls in corners perfectly, all thats good but a flat tipped hitch pin about 5/16" round and about 3" long punctuered the heck out of it!! Now i cant find this size again! I gotta tire with less then 300 miles on it thats junk now! At least it was cheap! ... show more

  • Noisy, think something is wrong with tire
Size: 120/70-17 F 190/50-17 R
rebuilt front forks, was all sorted out on my ancient bald tires. (98 Daytona) Had these Kenda tires mounted and balanced, I installed them as i have had bad luck with bike shops breaking things. Immediately noticed REALLY loud noise from front. At 20 mph on up. Louder than the wind and exhaust at 60. Thought the shop must have trashed a bearing cage on the balancer or something. Checked, seemed fine. Noise persists. Messed with tire pressure, checked alignment, etc. Finally bought and installed new front wheel bearings. Noise persists. Is really loud. Vibration coming up fork tubes and I guess ringing the triple clamps like a speaker or something. Its all I can hear over 50. Its freaking me out. No feedback from Kenda, past my 30 days for return (plus another pile of cash for mount / balance, etc). Stopped riding it, looking at a Conti or Dunlop next I guess. ... show more

  • Best bang for the buck.
Size: 120/70-17 F 190/50-17 R
These tires were an unexpected shocker! At first they were a bit hard and didn't give me much feedback. But after about 80 miles and some good heat cycles. I was blown away at the grip and feel they gave me. As good as any Dunlop out there I believe. For a dry tire and the price point. They are hard to beat. In the wet they are a bit unnerving. But do the job if your just commuting. ... show more
