Really pleased with how this is workout for us! It feels quite sturdy, and I was able to do the assembly all by myself (40F) except when I needed to right it onto its legs for the second half of the assembly. All the parts and instructions were organized and clear, so I didn't have too much trouble—it just took me six hours haha. The step "stairwell" is a bit narrow for adult bodies, but the kids are up and down easy. My tip might be to put the mattress up on the rails before adding the shelf that runs along the top. I don't think that it would interfere with the remaining steps of assembly, and it'd make it a bit easier to haul/push the mattress onto the top, but we also made it happen even when the shelf was still there. We did knock some things off the wall though, so that's some to keep in mind in your room. But it's really great and I thteorth the money. It is a bit creaky and noisy under movement and weight, but maybe it'll break in a bit. It fit our standard queen mattress perfectly, and crouching underneath is manageable for us adults to put things away or whatnot. A chair fits under there with room to spare. On the sides (head/foot) there's no extra height, so we slipped some shelving between the mattress and frame on the non-steps side so things (and kids) don't roll off. It's working great! We just had to change light fixtures in our room so the clearance above was safer and flush. The packaging was heavy but well cushioned and it all came intact and unharmed for us. The wooden steps boards smelled like they had relatively fresh stain on them, but that was the only odor and it cleared out fairly quickly. Its size and measurements were exactly as expected and it sure fills the room! As long as you have the room to assemble it in the room you intend for it to reside in, you'll be set! ... show more

At first, I wasn’t completely sure how sturdy this loft bed would be, but once I got it together, I was really impressed. The metal frame feels strong, the guardrails are solid, and the whole thing sits nice and stable. The black brushed finish gives it a clean, modern look, and it works really well in my room. I really like the built-in wardrobe in the staircase. It’s handy for clothes and little things I want to keep organized. And the steps are my favorite part — so much better than a ladder. My cat figured them out right away and now walks right up to sleep with me. Everything was clearly labeled, so it was easy to put together — just a bit time-consuming. It took us a few days to get this put together properly... I thought I measured right but it still didnt meet my expectations. I put the parts together wrong the first time. Putting it up on the stilts was incredibly difficult, we did it 3 different times moving it around trying to find a decent spot for it. I didnt realize the weight limit was 400 lbs including the mattress, so we had to use a spare bed instead of the mattress I'd bought because it weighed too much. I kind of hated it when I finally got it put together where I wanted it, I'd think about this purchase hard before buying it for an adult. It makes noise when you move around, and already after just using it a few days there's some wear and tare. This would be good for a kid. ... show more

We bought this bed for my teen daughter, after a lot of research. It came with a ton of pieces, of course, but the instructions were easy to follow. I think it only took us a couple of hours to assemble. She has been using it for almost a year now, and it feels just as sturdy now as when it was first put together. Very solid, and she loves it. This bed is working great for us!! My son is obsessed with all the shelves and storage and it provided his small room with so much more space. Assembly took some time but wasn't terrible. Mostly my husband and son and took about 4 hours.

This bed is incredible. It has truly made life betters. Now I’m burning calories every time I get in and out of bed. My ceilings are 10 ft and I still have so much space where I can fully sit up on my legs and not hit the ceiling. The bed frame makes getting into bed a reward every time. It’s also a human cat tree and if you have a cat they will love it too. I recommend covering the stairs with a carpet because your pets will scratch the paint! ... show more

I've been using this for my room and it's been great so far. I'm a big dude and haven't felt like it would break. Though I will admit it felt sketchy at first because it would shake, but that's because I didn't use the anchor.
