We put this in our home gym/spare room and it’s been exactly what we needed. When it’s folded up, it honestly just looks like a nice cabinet guests have no idea there’s a queen bed hiding in there. We’ve got workout equipment set up right in front of it and still have full use of the room day to day. Assembly is definitely a project it came in 4 boxes and took the better part of a day with two people but the parts were labeled and the instructions were clear enough to follow without any head-scratching. No professional installation needed if you’re reasonably handy. The color is almost a Calvary blue (Walmart) color is great in person, richer and darker than the listing photos suggest. Build quality feels solid; the bed folds down and back up smoothly, and the frame doesn’t creak or wobble. The side cabinets and drawers are a nice bonus we use them for bedding and pillows so everything for guests is right there. A couple things to know: it’s heavy (265+ lbs), so plan your placement before you build it, and stick to the recommended 5–8” mattress thickness or it won’t close properly. Highly recommend for a guest room, office, or any space pulling double duty. ... show more

The build quality of this Murphy bed actually exceeded my expectations. It's actually made from wood and not composite wood (anywhere where it matters at least). The only reason for the 4 star and not 5 is that the instructions could use a ton of work to clarify detail (IT'S LONG!!) Also the bed came in multiple boxes and an exaggerative amount of pieces. I understand to make shipping easier and cheaper but it felt like some things could have easily come pre-assembled on some places to simplify putting it together. You will absolutely need a 2nd person to do this job and even then you will easily spend 5 hours minimum to put it together. If you made it this far, it's absolutely worth the $ but just be ready for a very long day to put this together. Beer is a must! 🍻 ... show more

Product works well however when putting a mattress of the specifications that are required when you place it in the upright position it moves and needs to be adjusted when brought down. Also there were multiple pieces that had cracks or chips in them.

This Murphy bed is actually made of real wood, which I loved, it exceeded my expectations on how well its built and how secure it is. However, I did not give it a 5 star because instructions could use more detail on which side goes where when building unit (a simple side A or B would have been helpful, for example attached C1a to C4b) and issue with hydraulics that Amazon was great on helping me solve otherwise I loved the unit. Instructions say you need four helpers and it will take four hours, but I actually build this on my own, however it did take me about 8hrs to build. I assume it is better with 2 people especially if you're in a hurry to use it. I did read instructions completely, separated pieces by sections and build each section before attaching as instruction suggest. I thought this unit was absolutely worth the price, just have patients, music helps. ... show more

I still need to buy a mattress for this, so I will update once I've done that, but for the price, this is solid. I wanted a Murphy bed that was a queen and I liked how this opened from the side, not the top of the bed. It takes up less real estate in the room. I ordered the blue color and wish I ordered the white, just because it's so HEAVY, you will scuff it at least a little bit and it's going to be hard to touch up. I also assembled it with the warning sticker facing out but that was my bad. It takes a LONG time to put together and I'm pretty handy. I was able to do almost the whole thing by myself, I needed a second hand to stand up the frame and to attach the bed portion to the frame but other than that, I did the whole thing by myself. Keeping organized was very helpful and the instructions are actually pretty clear. ... show more
