  • Great bass
Color: Black Size: 8" Subwoofer Style: 8" Subwoofer
We paired this subwoofer with two KEF speakers. Works really well. Don't have to turn volume really high to hear.

  • Small package big sound
Color: Black Size: 8" Subwoofer Style: 8" Subwoofer
This KEF 8" sub looks small, and it physically is. But it certainly delivers a big sound. I have a small living room and am using it only for my home theater (5.1.2) setup (all KEF). It packs a punch when a movie needs a rumble, and it fills in the bottom end when some depth is called for. If you have a big room, or want a LOT of bass, get the 12" version. I bought this to replace a Polk Audio PSW 108 10" that died after 8 months, but I haven't noticed a difference in low end punch when using the KUBE 8 Just for reference I have 4 KEF Q150s, a KEF T101C, 2 Sony SSCSE Dolby Atmos and the KUBE 8 powered by a Sony STR-DH790. The KUBE 8 is not cheap, but it is a KEF. I've been using KEF speakers since 1978, and still use my original floor standers for music through a separate amp. That means they've lasted 45 years and are still going strong. I highly recommend the KEF KUBE 8 for folks with small rooms who want a sub with a big sound. ... show more

  • Decent subwoofer, but there are other options
Color: Black Size: 8" Subwoofer Style: 8" Subwoofer
I paired this subwoofer with KEF LS50 Meta and Buchardt S400 MKII. Setting the crossover at 80hz and the bass volume around 50%, this subwoofer added depth and richness to the tone of the music. While it performed decently, I still think there are other great options that I'd consider over this. For music, I'd probably consider Rel's T/Zero MKIII. And as an upgrade option, perhaps the SVS 3000 Micro. I believe there could be reasons why there are a lot of used KEF Kubes floating around on eBay (for around half the MSRP) and not as many RELs or SVSs. However, all that being said, you should audition all these options (side by side if you can) and decide for yourself what might be the best option for your budget, listening environment & listening style. ... show more

  • WOW Just WOW
Color: Black Size: 12" Subwoofer Style: 12" Subwoofer
I have a dedicated Theater room with an Epiqvision 120 running a marantz marantz 8012 KEF t series 301 LCR Plus RR LR BS LS Plus 2 KEF Speaker Atmos. I had the Kef T bass module but was really bummed by the fact that there is no volume control. After spending 15K on the theater, I said Self get a better Sub for real sound. I looked at Def and others but wanted to stay all KEF. So I bought the 12 Kef, I love this sub. I have owned just about every kind out there and hate how so many subs bleed on the cross over. This is the first sub that hits where it needs to and doesn't over saturate the room. Bravo. Is it pricey? Yes, but when you are setting up something that cost 15 grand, whats an additional thousand dollars to really complete the room. Thanks KEF!!! ... show more

  • DRAMATIC improvement to LS50 LSX
Color: Black Size: 12" Subwoofer Style: 12" Subwoofer
If you have the Kef LS50 / wireless or LSX this will dramatically improve your overall system sound quality. A lot of the ls50 lsx reviewers say that bass is good enough. However, you can improve on good enough to great. Not only on the bass side of things. On top, the mid and highs improve as speakers can focus on those areas while the sub does the low end work. It’s like giving the speakers steroids. I have high pass set at 105 hz and low pass at 90 hz on Lsx. The sub no sub difference is dramatic. I’ve tried with the ls50 as well but wanted the smaller profile lsx. If your have ls50 or lsx this sub makes it the best upgrade to your overall system PERIOD. ... show more

  • works perfect with LS50 speakers
Color: Black Size: 10" Subwoofer Style: 10" Subwoofer
I thought I would try a subwoofer with the new Kef LS50 speakers I recently purchased. I decided on the Kef 10" driver, the 8" would have worked fine in this small room, but what happens if you move your system to a larger room some day or move ? Good choice as it blends in perfect.... Subwoofers are subjective, it might sound terrible in this location and incredible in this location. Well this 10" works perfectly in this size room, in the corner location and with these speakers and in a stereo only set up . I cannot comment on how it would sound in a home theatre. It was very easy to set up, it has a DSP switch in back where you can set it on corner, or wall, or in open and a few more settings. Love it. ... show more

  • Good sound but defect headache with UPDATE
Color: Black Size: 10" Subwoofer Style: 10" Subwoofer
First, the sound of the Kube is great. However, mine had a defect that caused it to emit a continuous full volume bass noise randomly. The deafening noise would continue until the sub was unplugged. Happened about once every couple weeks. KEF customer service was always responsive but made me jump through hoops that included recording the noise to send to them. When they agreed to work on it, I was requested to take the sub apart myself to send the board to them or drive 3 hours, one way, to the closest authorized repair facility. I choose the latter so I wouldn’t be responsible for damaging anything. This process took several months and $100 in gas before it was repaired. Long story short, love the sound but would have appreciated a quicker and more convenient resolution from KEF. UPDATE: After KEF repair the Kube still makes the full volume noise intermittently but for short durations. Contacted KEF again and was told to try switching cables. I explained that EVERYTHING in my setup was new since the sub was originally sent back for repair so it HAS to be the sub. KEF asked me to send it back for more diagnostics! Told them I was done with this headache and they offered me a credit on a higher end model. As a huge KEF fan, I’m really disappointed in the Kube. ... show more
