It's hard to buy shoes online, since everyone has different feet. These shoes feel a bit short but roomy around the toes. Room for another pair of socks, but I decided my toenails needed a trim.

These are great shoes, they fit perfectly and are comfortable right out of the box. I wear keens almost every day for walking in the woods. These are perfect for that. Keen will remain my go to brand for outdoor shoes.

    • Stiff, narrow with no arch support

This is my 1st pair of Keens. I’ve heard great things about them. That there’s no need to break them in. I went to a store and tried on several different styles of Keens. Loved the fit, but didn’t like the prices. So, I bought these on here for $65. The store didn’t have these to try on. This pair is nothing like the others that I tested out. These are really well made. Look very durable. But, they are STIFF. These are not ready to wear out of the box like some reviews stated. Not for me, anyway. I only saw a couple of reviews mention they are narrow. These definitely are. Also mentioned was there was no arch support. I have high arches and use a special insole. When I took the insole out of these, they didn’t look anything like the other styles I tried on. I was surprised there was no arch, whatsoever! The others were comfortable without using my own insoles. I’m on the fence about returning them and trying another style, or getting a shoe stretcher to help break them in. If they weren’t made so well, this would be a no brainer. I love the look of these and the color combo. One last thing, another review mentioned something sticking through the side of the tongue on the right shoe. These have the same issue. I ordered the KEEN Women's Headout Low Height Waterproof All Terrain Hiking Shoes. These are excellent quality hiking boots! This is my second pair of Keen’s hiking boots. Several years ago while my husband and I were away on a mountain getaway, we stopped in a very high end hiking shop. The shoe salesman—who was basically a hiking expert—taught us about many pairs of shoes in the shop, but he ultimately recommended that I buy Keen’s. He was correct. These are the same high quality. They are very sturdy and waterproof. I’d recommend breaking them in to relieve some of the stiffness if you have the time. Overall, high quality hiking shoes that will last for years. ... show more

    • Narrow and Clunky Unsupportive Fit

So I wear Keens for hiking in different versions and did start sizing up 1/2 size because of foot swelling and thick socks that I tend to wear. I ordered 9 in these instead of 9.5 because of reviews and that was a mistake. These have a much narrower fit than most Keens. They also have 0 arch support and stability compared to other Keens, very flat and clunky feeling. My daughter loved them and kept them. She does have narrower feet and no over-pronation like I have. I did reorder Keen in a different version- Ridge Flex as I need waterproof lower boots. The Ridge Flex are better fit, but stone bruising is a big problem, they also are not stable enough for foot roll. I’m trying a new brand in wide. ... show more

I may have liked this shoe if the fit was as expected. I ordered the same size that I have with my other Keens, a women’s size 10. Instead the shoe is so wide that my foot from the front of the arch forward does not contact the top of the shoe or the sides, not even close. It feels cavernous. I can scrunch up my toes or wiggle my foot around and all I feel is air. The length seems about right but the width seems bizarre if that is what was intended. This results in the shoe not offering support as I slide around inside it. It seems like a manufacturing error. ... show more
