  • I love Keen shoes and their work boots are top of ...
Size: 11.5 Color: Brown
I love Keen shoes and their work boots are top of the line in my opinion. My husband works 12-16 hours a day in water and on concrete. He also has severe flat feet so finding boots that dont have a high arch and give him foot pain is always a pain. He has worn Red Wings, Wolverine and a few other brands over the years and the last 2 years were all Wolverine but problem with those is the boots were completely worn out after 4-5 months so I wanted to get him something that would last longer. Ive always worn Keen shoes and boots for years and always thought they fit like a glove so I decided to try the Keen work boots for him. Now his feet are in love with these. They are light weight for a steel toe boot compared to other brands, they are waterproof as he stands in water all day with them, ( we just spray them every month as a precaution to keep them waterproof) , they dont hurt his feet, there is plenty of wiggle room in the toe box area which is most likely because Keen uses left and right formed steel toes versus just the standard generic straight steel toes that crunch your toes that many brands use, right out of the box they have that " worn in feeling" so no need to break them in or be afraid to wear them all day long on the first day and his hip and back are no longer having pains like they did with his other boots and these dont feel like a work boot, they have all the features of a rugged work boot with the feel of a hiker more than a work boot. I will be sticking with Keen work boots for now on. From experience in size my husband wears an 11 in sneakers and non steel toe shoes but I always get him an 11.5 ( and sometimes I get him wide because some brands the steel toe runs really narrow) just to compensate for the toe box and steel toe so whatever size you wear and feel comfortable in wearing steel toe get that size as they run true to whatever size you wear and if you wear standard width no need to buy wide in these as there is plenty of toe box room ... show more

  • So far so good - Update after one year
Size: 11 Color: Brown
Update: After a year of daily wear, I'm pleased to report that these work boots have held up exceptionally well. They continue to provide the same comfort and support that I initially praised. I've been using them at the power plant, where I walk on gravel, asphalt, and frequently climb stairs and ladders, and they've consistently offered a great sense of security. Regarding the minor issue with the laces coming undone easily, it seems that with more wear and usage, they have improved and now stay tight for longer periods. Additionally, the sole has proven to be durable, even through the cold months. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend these work boots. They have exceeded my expectations and have proven to be a reliable choice for daily use in demanding environments. Original review: I like how comfortable the work boots are. They have great support and are easy to fit into. I have been using it for about 2 weeks at the power plant and they have been holding up pretty well. I walk around on gravel, asphalt and go up stairs as well as ladders and they offer great support and good sense of security. I will update after 1 year which is the minimum I expect I this price point. One minor issue are the laces that tend to come undone easily. Maybe with more wear they will hold tight longer. Also, because of how little use I have given them, I’m not sure how the sole is gonna hold up, especially with the cold months coming soon. As I mentioned before, I will update once those concerns are addressed. ... show more

  • 1 year review. Comfortable, warm, tough, and affordable.
I had bought these Dec. 2nd 2020 to replace a discontinued Redwing model that I had re-ordered for 16 straight years. I needed something a little lighter to replace it since my new job would still have me doing heavy duty diesel work. These Keenes are comfortable, I ordered the 10.5 wides, and immediately felt the relief. They are much lighter and do not require the hard wear in that Redwings do. They aren't as tall but still provide good support and the sole has great traction on oil and grease. After a year of 8+ hrs a weekday for a year, they're still comfy. For the cold you can see in the pictures that the inside has plenty of "fluff". The tounge has plenty of stuffing too, it's not just a heavy flap of leather. I did get this boot a little wet, but I never submerged it, and the sox stayed dry. During the summer it was very comfortable and breathed well. The pictures show the wear and tear from a year of use, especially in the sole. You can see where it has torn across the pad where the boot bends. I do a lot of climbing on boom trucks, and my shop floor has a gritty texture. If the floor was smoother maybe this could have been a 1.5 year sole. The insoles in my boots usually just fall apart and I replace them with Dr. Scholls anyway. Shoe strings never did tear, and the hooks never broke. Which is surprising because my Redwings would break, since at 445 am I'm kinda rough with them. You won't be able to use these like a sledgehammer since the weight is lower, but these aren't made for that. If you have a boot allowance the price is perfect at around 175ish. My old Redwings were around the 300 range, and looking back on it now I should have been wearing these all along. If you can keep a reasonable amount of oil from covering them, they look pretty good. All in all for a work boot you can at least try them for the price, especially if you have a boot allowance. Get them, and enjoy a little comfort while you work. ... show more

  • Good boots, medium life
Size: 10.5 Color: Brown
Bought these in January, lasted until September. While they lasted they were amazing. I wore them 4 days a week, surveying. The bottom on one started coming off and I had to ditch them. So if you don’t wear them much, get these. The ankle and sole are very well designed. More like a hiking boot which I think are really the best type of boots all around. Ankle support doesn’t exist in most others. They did come untied a fair amount; the tying at the top laces is nifty but not perfect. 7.8/10 only real problem is durability ... show more
