Being in security and working a 12 hr night 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off these boots are great. There is little to no break in period. They were comfortable without any wear spots upon my feet within 4 days nights of work. The waterproofing so far is spot on as well. I will definitely update the review as it pertains to the waterproofing after the snow falls in copious amounts. Living in The Last Frontier places extra strains on our work boots due to the extreme changes in weather and the walking surfaces. I cannot recommend these boots enough. I read that the first set of loops can play hell on the laces, I have yet to experience this. I did however buy a set of Kevlar Boots strings just in case but have yet needed to put them into use. They look great and thy haven't gone downhill in appearance like soooooo many other boots I have worn. ... show more

I like to put extra socks on when I wear my work boots. These make room for the needed room of the extra thick socks and the are comfortable. I like the KENN boots because of the wider toe box. My feet are not exceptionally wide but I like that I can add and extra sock layer and have the room to do so. ... show more

These boots feel good right away. I have suffered through days of painful feet problems like blisters, etc. with high end boots like Red Wing and Chippewa because they need breaking in so long. The Keens feel good right away. I got the Wide size because I have problem feet. Well, one of them anyway. But these feel great. I had a pair before that lasted 5 years, but finally died to the point I was getting burned while welding and cutting, so I tried several pairs of boots left from my Union job that were $300-400 boots. All of them killed my feet. I broke down and bought another pair of these “Milwaukee” boots and they felt great right away. I wore them all day at home and they were fine. Work again in a couple of days. That’ll test it, but the other boots hurt just wearing them. ... show more

    • Good quality after almost 3 years of heavy use.

They took some time breaking in but were mostly comfortable right away. Most impressive to me was the durability over time. My job is very physically demanding especially on the feet and these held up well though the toe cap did start tearing after about two years. Nonetheless, I generally always replaced boots after about 1 year so these did the job very well. Pros: comfort, durability, water resistant though don't stand in a puddle, great traction on most surfaces. Cons: They are not great on ice in my opinion. The toe cap does start to tear after a while. I have recently purchased a second pair happily if that tells you anything. ... show more
