I've only had them a couple weeks so far. They arrived early, so that was a plus. I had to replace the sole inserts to get better arch support, otherwise, the construction seems good. Materials seem pretty tough, better than most mesh on work wear. The lacing system in probably my only complaint, they're a lil tough to get adjusted. Maybe it'll get better once they get worked a little, or possibly with different laces. That's all I have at the moment, I try to remember to update after a bit of use. ... show more

I love Keens and have purchased and worn many pairs. Twice, I have had problems with the overall quality. This time is one of those 2 times. These are marketed as a steel toed work boot. I am a general contractor and have owned them for less than 2 1/2 months. At the mid-sole area the rubber piece that connects the sole to the body of the shoe is separating on both of the boots. If it had been a year or more I would be significantly understanding and just chalked it up to wear and tear as my line of work is fairly demanding on footwear. However 2 1/2 months seems too soon to be experiencing these issues. Apparently my return / exchange deadline expired on March 11th, which seems counter to my previous experiences with Keens quality satisfaction policy. Anyway, I will likely rethink purchasing shoes from this vendor again and would encourage anyone else to think carefully before purchasing also. ... show more

They seem to be a nicely made but but the issue is their lacing system, they use a flat shoe string where you have to physically tighten them from the front of the shoe then work your way to the back. It takes a few minutes to tighten each shoe string before you tie them. For the price you would thing they would have a faster lacing system that you don't have to work at to tie up for do long. The lacing system we as the deal breaker for me, fix that and would give it more stars. ... show more

I'm a pretty heavy guy. I usually have a difficult time finding a boot thats comfortable, durable, and reasonably priced. This boot covers two if not all three of those things. I work in a production facility where I need good slip resistance, flexibility, and comfort. These are by far the most comfortable of any boot I've owned... from redwings to timberlands. These are even better then the other keens boots I own (and I thought they were really good!?). I'd recommend these to anyone in search of some new favorites... the style of them aren't bad either. The price was/is the only downside I think. That said, the price is also well matched with your most popular brands of boots. So its a "meh" sort of thing... but I'm happy with them for the most part. Hope this helps. ... show more

Longer than a steel toe on average, because they are composite probably, so I had to go to a wide instead of up 1/2 size for extra room. Toe could be designed to be squared off to cut down the length a little, but great boots. They may be a little warm to wear in the hot months.

Simply put, if you are on your feet and really working, these are the greatest boots to own. I was a telecom worker that ran through boots every 3 months, I now do low voltage work as a business owner and work WAY MORE, and the SOLES HAVE NOT WORN AT ALL AFTER 7 MONTHS. I dont know what they are made of but they are extremely comfortable. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE. THIS IS IT.... JUST THESE ... show more

    • Very Comfortable work boot but started falling apart after 10 months.

It was the most comfortable out of the ones i tried and after 12+ hours a day wearing my feet didn't get sore. So that's a plus, the down side is after 9-10 months of standard use, the soles are peeling off and the boots are in need of replacement.
