  • Best work boots
Size: 11 Wide Color: Bison/Black
I've had these boots for a week now. I've many different types of boots over the years and these are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned from day 1. I noticed immediately that they actually relieved my knee pain that I had from working long hours being on my feet all day. Can't speak to the durability yet, but if they last a season, I'll be very happy. ... show more

  • Sturdy, comfortable work boots!
Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Bison/Black
I live in a cabin in the woods, which is heated primarily with a wood stove. Firewood is VERY expensive if you purchase it, and VERY inexpensive if you just go out and cut it yourself. I currently burn through about 4 cords of wood each winter. The average price of firewood delivered is close to $400/ cord in this area, versus a wood cutting permit which costs about $6/ cord! So, $1,600 per winter versus $24. If you own a chainsaw and a truck, the choice is obvious. I own 2 trucks and 3 chainsaws, so clearly I've made my choice. Cutting down full sized trees with a chainsaw, and then chopping the trees into 18 inch lengths is really physically demanding and dangerous work. Good boots are a must. Not only do good boots help you to maintain your footing, but they also help keep your feet safe! Up until recently, I've decided to use what I owned- which is just a few different pairs of leather hiking boots. This year, I decided I needed to find a better, safer solution, so off to Amazon I went, in search of a better solution. I've owned Keen shoes in the past, and I remember them being incredibly comfortable out of the box, so when I saw this pair of Keen Utility boots listed, I knew I needed to give them a try. The boots arrived in the standard Keen box, and right off the bat, they were AMAZINGLY comfortable. Assuming you do your part selecting the correct sized boot or shoe, Keen does the rest. Instant comfort. Aside from brand recognition, the reason I chose these boots was the fact that they come with carbon fiber toe guards. Metal toe guards are not ideal in my mind- they steal heat from your toes in the winter, and if you accidentally drop an excessively heavy load on your foot, the metal guards can collapse onto your toes and stay squished. Bad idea. Overall, I'm 100% satisfied with these boots. They are very comfortable, even during extended work sessions in the woods. I can't think of a single reason to not recommend these boots, actually... ... show more

  • KEEN Utility Men's Evanston Work Boots: Reliable, Comfortable, and Waterproof
Size: 11 Color: Bison/Black
I recently purchased the KEEN Utility Men's Evanston 6-inch Composite Toe Work Boots, and I must say, they exceeded my expectations in every way. As someone who works in construction and spends long hours on my feet, finding the right work boots is crucial, and these boots tick all the boxes. First and foremost, the durability of these boots is exceptional. Constructed with high-quality waterproof leather, they withstand tough working conditions and provide long-lasting protection. The composite toe adds an extra layer of safety without compromising on comfort or flexibility. Speaking of comfort, the Evanston work boots are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. The cushioned footbed and midsole offer ample support and shock absorption, reducing fatigue even after a full day of work. The boots also have a roomy toe box, allowing for natural toe splay and preventing cramped feet. One of the standout features of these boots is their waterproofing. I've tested them in various weather conditions, from rain and snow to mud and puddles, and my feet have stayed dry and comfortable throughout. This is a game-changer for anyone working outdoors or in wet environments. The traction on these boots is another highlight. The non-slip rubber outsole provides excellent grip on slippery surfaces, giving me confidence and stability while navigating different terrains. It's a relief knowing that I can focus on my work without worrying about slipping or sliding. In terms of style, the Evanston work boots have a rugged and professional look that I appreciate. They pair well with both workwear and casual outfits, making them versatile for various occasions. Overall, I highly recommend the KEEN Utility Men's Evanston Work Boots to anyone in need of reliable, comfortable, and waterproof footwear for demanding work environments. They offer the perfect combination of durability, performance, and style, making them an excellent investment for your feet and your workday comfort. ... show more

  • Pretty comfortable and water and gasoline proof
Size: 11 Wide Color: Bison/Black
These shoes are heavy duty. They do seem to run a big on the big side. I'm usually between a 10.5 and 11 shoe size. I often get a size 11 to give me a bit of room for my wide feet. This wasn't needed for these as they are wide themselves. So order your actual size or the smaller of your own size for a good fit. There was minimal break-in time for them. They are a bit stiff in the ankle at first but the foot bed itself is not bad from day one. They are marketed as waterproof and I can confirm. I can also say they are safe from gasoline spills as I accidentally dumped 1/2 cup of gasoline right on the middle of the shoe. Not even the smell got through to my skin. The leather shook it off like no big deal. I left them outside overnight and the smell dissipated and the leather was no worse for wear. On other shoes I'd expect some sort of bleaching or damage from such a spill. I don't really need the composite toes but it's nice to know it's there if needed. ... show more

  • Not as Keen on these as I was hoping for.
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Black
These boots have some nice features that include quality leather, comfortable insoles, and a grippy outer sole, and lightweight. Unfortunately, these run very wide and seem to run small in length. The other area that I have had issues with is the design of the tongue and how it's attached to the side of the shoe. This tongue folds over and is then sewn into the side of the shoe. This causes a rubbing on the upper part of the ankle. Even with very thick wool socks, this tongue causes issues. I'm not sure if this is a defect or a design flaw as it is more prominent with one shoe versus the other, but both have the problem. I will be curious to see if this issue subsides as the shoes become worn more but after three days of use, I was left with wounds after each use. I will give these boots a couple more tries before abandoning and adjusting the review accordingly. ... show more
