First, I must confess I didn’t buy this to use as it was advertised in the description. I have heavy blackout curtains in my bedroom, and if I don’t open them during the day it’s pitch black in that room. My curtains are attached to the rod via grommets, and I use this rod to open and close them. I’m short, so I was having to pull on the curtains themselves to reposition them. I knew that was a bad idea but didn’t have a better idea until I saw this telescopic rod. Now I use it to gently push / pull the curtains (by the grommet itself) to open and close them, making it much easier on me and the curtains. This rod probably works great on shades as advertised, but it has also solved my tall-curtains-short-arms dilemma.

Compact and straightforward functionally. Does exactly what I need. We have 8' sliding doors and pull down privacy shades. I cannot reach them to pull down or push up. This gadget allows me (5'5") to easily reach the pull down loop, and to also push back up fully. Comes with a small L shaped bracket that sticks to the wall to hang it conveniently near where you need to use it. Came with 2 wands, so I will put the 2nd one in another location for the same purpose. Not heavy, would not be appropriate for other uses (e.g. hanging up clothes). Perfectly appropriate weight and length for stated purpose.
