I love this beanie--it's sooo comfortable. The material is the softest that I've felt yet. Please note that my boyfriend and I tried the KBETHOS W-10 Heather Slouchy Beanie Skull Cap Hat - DARK GRAY , KBETHOS W-10 Heather Slouchy Beanie Skull Cap Hat - NAVY , KBETHOS W-251 Signature Heather Slouch Waffle Beanie - NAV , and the KBETHOS W-252 Signature Heather Slouch Daily Beanie - BLK . We are keeping the Slouchy Beanie Skull Cap in both Dark Gray and "Navy." The Navy is NOT Navy! The picture actually shows the true color--it's more of this rusty red. I don't mind it, but just a heads up. The Slouchy Beanie Skull Caps are the ones that are incredibly soft, and truly are large enough to have a good amount of slouch. They are incredibly comfortable and well made. We did not like the waffle beanie as the material was much rougher and it was stiff. It wasn't large enough for a slouchy effect and seems too stiff to be able to get to the look. It just wasn't oversized enough for our liking. The heather slouch daily beanie was very nice and I liked the white trim on it, but the material was not as soft as the two we are keeping. It was soft, but once you feel the material for the Skull Caps you'll understand--it's not quite comparable. I highly recommend the Skull Cap beanies. I would shy away from the waffle beanie though! I have tried to purchase slouchy beanies before for my husband but they have either been too small or stuck up oddly somewhere and he didn't want to wear them. This hat however is large enough and stretchy enough to accommodate to several different sized heads while still being slouchy. The material is soft and well made looking so that my husband can even wear this to work(as a school teacher) in the cold mornings. It keeps his head warm and hair tamed! Haha.

I'm big-headed (too much brain) so one-size fits all rarely works on my gourd, even if the material is stretchy. This beanie not only fits, it fits well and is comfortable - over the ears or above them. Someone mentioned it looked silly, but they might be spending a bit too much time in front of the mirror I'm thinking. It fits, it does what winter beanies are meant to do. and it's easy to stuff into (or remove from) a coat or pants pocket on the move, as the weather changes. There were no care instructions (that I found) so I asked the company - hand wash only. I'll be wearing this in the high alpine.

As others have noted, this hat will not give you the slouchy effect -- the fabric is too stiff and the excess (which is excessive) points up and out, rather like a Pope's mitre. I looked absurd in this hat. One of the problems is that, besides the stiffness, there is a thick seam at the end of the floppy part that keeps it erect. In ordering a new one, I'm looking carefully at photos to make sure there is no seam at the end -- this is what makes a pointy hat rather than a slouchy hat. I'm giving it two stars because the fabric itself is thick and comfortable, I liked the subtle weave, and the hat is well made despite it's ridiculous shape. Once again, a product photo is deceptive -- it looks slouchy in the pictures but, believe me, you'll look like a conehead.

The descriptions " Comfortable" and "Slouchy" plus all the reviews praising the roominess of the fit as excellent for larger hat sizes have been misleading. The hat is much smaller on my head than is pictured in many of the examples, and my hat size is 7.5 U.S. - fairly large, but not the top of the sizing chart. The fit is quite snug on my head, not loose and "slouchy", but as tight as I can tolerate in a knit cap. I think the manufacturers of knit caps in general tend to use the term "one size fits all" in order to simplify their manufacturing process and lower costs, because it's nearly impossible to find an inexpensive knit cap marked XL or sized in any way. As you read the thousands of reviews on knit hats, you will find multiple complaints about the tightness of the fit, so this is a universal problem, especially where you can shop for literally dozens of different brands. I believe the sizing is done in the countries of origin, yet the marketing is done internationally, where there are many larger, big-boned, and heavier people who need larger knit caps than are being made and marketed from the current competitive sources

I wanted a beanie that i could pull pretty far forward and still be slouchy in the back without making me look like a coconut head and this beanie certainly does the trick. It's comfortable and doesn't itch like all of my other beanies, it's lighter than most and not super dense but still keeps my head and ears warm, it's nice and slouchy, the fit is nice, so if you're looking for a nice, big slouchy beanie, this is your hat.

The beanie was tight upon arrival, as most are in my experience. My usual stretch ritual ensues to ensure a nice comfortable fit for my large head. And no matter what I did, it would go back to it original size. So I tried to deal with it, but it's so darn tight it gives me a migraine. Wasn't able to return it for obvious reasons, but I'm bummed, a waste of an excellent beanie, just a size too small.... Or possibly many sizes too small. Take what you want from this, a good quality tight fitting beanie or my large head. Or if you're a deep thinker you'll ask yourself... Will that beanie ever fit in? Hey you know what, l give it to my future kids! Hey look at that! I found a solution while dealing with my issue!
