  • Great unit, very well built, and easy to use.
So, was excited to try this with my 4 year old girl. It was back-ordered for a bit, but then was shipped earlier than originally stated. This unit is Bright PINK!! And my little girl loves it. She has her own little bike with training wheels, but we have to walk with her as she practices. We had a trailer when she was younger but the last family bike ride in that she seemed bored sitting in there by herself. So I connected this to my seat post and was even able to leave my rear rack on, fit over it. The clamp has 4 allen head bolts that I secured tightly to the seat post, Then I connected the square tubing of the co-pilot and put the pin through and it is very secure. The two way hing is very tight and has rubber bushings making it track the lead bike very well. It took a bit of practice to see the limit on turning radius, I can still make a pretty good turn, but there are stops to keep you from taking to sharp of a corner that could cause the unit to tip. She doesn't have long enough legs to pedal yet, so she just sits with her feet flat with one pedal forward and one back. I lowered the seat as far as it would go and I reversed the handlebar stem so it faces to the rear, moving the handlebars closer to her and then angled down for a good fit. She was a bit nervous the first time, but I just told her to hold on tight and off we went slowly at first. She loves it, squealing joy all the way down the street. Now when I get home from work, it is the fist thing she says, Daddy lets go for a bike ride!! We get all kinds of stares as I ride by on my 26" mountain bike with this hot pink "half a bike" trailing behind. it has a flag that goes much higher than the picture if you use the extension and that helps motorists and others know she is back there. I highly recommend this product. I think it is well built, and the welds and mounts are all very well done. I don't see why someone would spend $300 on a name brand version of one of these when your kid will use it for about a year or two and then move up to riding bikes on their own. Then you can pass it on to a friend or sell to another family. Enjoy!! ... show more

  • Great for long rides and learning to pedal!
Color: Green
We were getting out of the car as another family returned from their ride with this awesome trailer, so of course I embarrassed myself and my kids by rushing over to find out about it. Sorry not sorry, kids. I had been searching for the perfect trailer so that my 4- year- old daughter could keep up with me and my insanely fast son. My daughter had been riding a balance bike but was ready to graduate. We got her an awesome pedal bike with training wheels but she just couldn't get the hang of it. Riding on this trailer gave her the chance to watch and copy as I pedaled, and the practice made a huge difference. I'm not a strong rider. My back and joints love to complain, and my knees have always been bad. When my girl was in an infant seat on the back, riding was really tough because the weight threw me off. I almost dropped her a couple of times. ALMOST. But guess what. This trailer is SO EASY. I can turn, climb hills, start, and stop with no trouble. It's comfortable for her, too. We rode 6 miles on our maiden voyage and she didn't complain a bit, which is HIGHLY unusual for my little angel. She had to practice getting on and off a few times, but she figured it out quickly. The trailer was easy to assemble out of the box. I did it myself with some interruptions from the kids, and it hasn't threatened to come apart. The mounting bracket does take a few inches of seat post so I don't think it will work if you ride with your seat all the way down. I had to take off my rear rack and saddlebags to make it fit. It's pretty easy to take the trailer off and put it on the bike. Lining it up can be a little bit fussy but not too bad. The trailer fits on my car's bike carrier really well. I love the weeride and am not at all sorry about bugging that family in the parking lot! ... show more

  • This is exactly what we were looking for!
Color: Green
Our oldest child has outgrown the trailer, but he is extremely cautious, and has shown extreme reluctance to learn how to ride his two-wheeler (even with his training wheels). Family bike rides became impossible. Then, while in a bike shop, we discovered tandem bike attachments such as this one. We went online to read reviews and compare prices, and found the WeeRide Co-Pilot. It is a two-person assembly, and took my husband and I less than an hour to attach it to his bike. It wasn't difficult or complicated; but has a lot of parts, and someone needs to hold the adult bike up for straight attachment. I have read the negative reviews, but we didn't have any of the issues mentioned. We had no difficulty getting it attached tight enough (there is some give, which allows it to turn more smoothly). We have now used this attachment on three separate bike rides, and it's wonderful. Our son is excited, not fearful, when riding, he loves to help pedal. His Daddy tows him, and has had no trouble with balance. It performs well, and we're extremely pleased! Just a couple of notes for prospective buyers. First, this is a pretty hefty trailer. It is heavy-duty when lifting it, and takes some extra effort to tow up hills. Second, this bike is really for kids 6-7 years old +, not because of the balancing per se but because of the distance from the seat (in the lowest position) to the pedals. My son is 5, in the 90th percentile for height, and he has to stretch his tippy-toes to touch the pedals in the lowest positions. All-in-all, we're extremely pleased, and recommending the Co-Pilot to all our friends! ... show more
