These are attractive and sturdy. The magnets are strong and hold well. There is no give above 28" wide, so if you need 28.5", I would suggest the next length. I've pulled them apart a couple of times trying to stretch them just a tiny bit more. But at 28", they do not sag in the middle like some extension rods. Color is also nice.
