So far so good. I bought it to replace an inflatable seat in an inflatable kayak. Seems to work fine in a pool to test. Will update if I have any issues out in open water. It is good quality and is comfortable.

So the seat is in general, nice and I used it 4 times. However, the clips to hook it up to the boat are simply to weak. Two of them just broke while paddling. There is realy no reason not to have better clips on the seat. It is clearly a design flaw. I think this is the reason why you find this seat often reduced in price ~$50. So if you have this seat make sure to take spare carabiners with you in case you are out and about so you can fix it where you are. I was lucky and had two straps with me that I usually use to mount the kayak on the roof, otherwise I would have in deep trouble as I kayaked 10 miles. With the new clips its as expensive as seats that are offered from the get go with more sturdy clips. Hence, do not buy this one, go for another seat.

Comfortable with just right amount of back support. One of the plastic clips broke on second trip out so had to use a spare clip off of something else so that was disappointing but otherwise try comfortable so kept it.

I have had this for maybe 1 month and the side latch snapped off 5 minutes into my kayak trip the other day. It was the 4th time I used the seat. The seat itself is nice but I was extemely diappointed in the latch. It appears I can't get a replacement. I wouldn't buy from Amazon again because they don't ever back their vendors and the vendors won't help me. I am seeking a replacement for the chair I purchased. The clasp literally split in half.
