This one is a winner! The BRANTMAKER Kayak Seat is first class. The seat back and bottom are made of dense foam that provides excellent comfort and support. There are 4 straps…2 forward (L and R) and 2 rear (L and R). Each strap makes 2 contacts with the seat back. This is more secure and less likely to tear loose than a single contact. This is very important when pulling hard on the paddle. The seat back accent is an attractive (optional) high visibility green. An included water-resistant bag at the back of the seat can be used to store a lock and cable, towel, lunch, extra water, wallet, or any small items that you might want to have along during your paddle. Also included are hook and loop pads to secure seat in place and instructions. Installation was straight forward but it is nice to know that instructions are included if you are not familiar with kayak seats. I chose not to use the hook and loop pads because I want to remove the seat in between paddles. I tested the BRANTMAKER Kayak Seat on a 4+ mile paddle. It was a blustery day, and I had to pull hard into the headwind for 2+ miles. The BRANTMAKER Kayak Seat was not only comfortable the whole time, but I was able to push hard against the back to get maximum paddle power. The seat felt solid as a rock. I felt good about the 8 contact points on the seat back. At no time did I feel like the straps might tear loose. I am an avid paddler. I look forward to many long hours of paddling with the BRANTMAKER Kayak Seat. I feel confident that I will be able to dig as hard as I can, and this seat will take it.

I got this to use on my paddleboard when I’m in the mood for sitting astride it and just paddling around. The straps for this seat attach to the rings on my paddleboard to hold it firmly in place, along with the Velcro pads to secure it to the board so it doesn’t slide around. It has a comfortable thick cushion to sit on and has a backboard that provides relieving back support. I can adjust the straps so that I’m sitting more upright for paddling, or I can ease them out a little if I want to lean back and relax. The fabric feels soft to the touch and everything about this seat is nice quality and well-made, down to the sturdy metal buckles. Love the waterproof round storage bag that comes with it that I can attach to the back of the seat. A top-notch product! Highly recommend this!

I’ve mounted this to my SUP and think the quality of it is quite nice, and very reasonably priced considering what you get. It is able to go on and off pretty quickly, which is great because my SUP is inflatable. Supports my weight well. Although better alternatives do exist out there, they often cost more. This option met my expectations and I view it as an excellent value.

I have a stand-up paddle board (SUP), but I'm not a big fan of stand-up paddling. I enjoy an outing a lot more when I'm seated. So, I jumped at the chance to review this seat that can attach to SOME boards. Likes: -I like that this seat easily attaches to my SUP's four metal D-loop hard points. -The seat provides adequate support -All of the straps are adjustable Dislikes: -I worked on adjusting the straps, front and back, high and low, for at least 15 minutes before I was able to find a combination that worked well enough for me. -The seat upper has a tendency to wrap itself around my back while seated rather than provide the stiffer support I'd prefer -I still haven't been able to find that sweet spot that I'd describe as comfortable. The materials and workmanship seems good, and I believe this seat will last a good long while. I just wish it was more comfortable, but it's still better than sitting without any support. So, in my experience so far, I'd have to rate it as adequate = 3/5 stars, and I'm tempted to go with weak 4 stars. I'll do that because I like the hardware and workmanship

We have 6 older style ocean kayaks this seat was the last seat that needed to be replaced. What a great Kayak seat replacement. The foam padding is much thicker than the rest that i have and the clips are a better quality. The adds to the comfort. A excellent price 👌. Over all it seems to be very durable and comfortable.
