What a lovely bag — the leather is soft (I went to check the Saffiano leather at Kate Spade store and it was much thicker and harder than this one), straps are long and strong enough to carry around with my macbook and other stuff inside, and the general look and feeling is simple and classic. You can’t go wrong with anything Kate Spade. The brand itself is known for quality and luxury and this tote isn’t an exception. From the wonderful packaging and dust cover, to the little details in the stitching, this tote isn’t worth every penny. It’s made with real leather and the size is perfect for carrying your laptop. This would make a wonderful gift for that collector in your life. Classic and stylish I give this 5/5 stars.

I am very pleased to receive this Kate Spade Hudson leather work tote! It is black with gold tone hardware, including flat button feet on the bottom. A square shape, with 2 long slim straps, and the Kate Spade logo on a metallic square on one side. Not in your face, but understated. It is 10.5x14.25x5 inches, with an 11 inch handle drop on the straps. It can hold a tablet or Kindle, a regular 8.5x11 binder, papers, phone, and all the et al that work life requires. It has a zipper pocket in front suitable for phone, passport, hotel card. It has a main zipper area for a tablet, and each side has a magnetic closure area for binder, keys, makeup, pens, gum... there is an internal zipped as well as slip pouch on each inner side. It is lined in an elegant old gold/beige faile fabric. Matches well, doesn't clash, great for a work bag. It has 2 skinny leather straps with room to sling it over a shoulder, but not too long to carry in hand. I prefer a slightly thicker strap, but these are also good leather and should be fine even with an attempt at cutting them! The bag smells of good leather, and it is supple and soft. A VERY well made bag, of excellent size for a workday tote/handbag. And - it includes a large drawstring dust bag, just as you'd expect from Kate Spade. The tote arrived well packed with protective padding and paper, so it wasn't even scratched. I look forward to using this lovely Hudson work tote!

First let me tell you about the packaging. I should have taken a picture opening the box, but I got too excited to wait. This bag had SO much tissue paper in it that kept it from being crushed in the box - it was absolutely perfect; even the metal parts was covered with styrofoam pads on every part as you can see from the images. It even comes with a travel bag for taking it with you or packing it away for later. The pebbled leather feels soft in the hand and great quality, as you would expect from a Kate Spade bag. The leather is great thickness to keep this bag looking nice. The handle attachments are pretty and solid. The metal zipper is excellent quality. You don’t find metal zippers on many things anymore, but this high end bag has great zippers. It has three different compartments, with two pockets on the inside of each outer pocket (just not an extra pocket in the zipper middle part). It also has one outer pocket on the side with the label to stash away items you want to reach quickly. This is by far the highest quality bag I’ve ever owned and may be the last bag I ever need. The design and beauty is timeless.

I love everything about this bag. It feels and smells amazing. I would say that this would function better as a large purse rather than a tote bag. It is actually smaller than I thought it would be which is fine. It has a large zippered section in the middle of the bag they will hold a tablet or a laptop. It also has a large section in the front and the back which could hold, mail, documents or maybe a folder. Plenty of room for a big wallet and your small items like keys, make up etc. It is beautiful, elegant, professional bag.
