These are the perfect oven mitts. I really like how thick and well padded these are. They can withstand very hot temperatures without burning your hands. They are also extra long, so your arms are protected as well. (I have a photo showing a standard oven mitt next to these for size comparison.) These oven mitts are made of 100% cotton and they can be washed easily and clean up like new. The price seems a little high, but I feel for this quality and the extra length, this is an excellent value. They would also make a wonderful present for anyone. These striped cloth oven mitts are nicely made and attractive. I’ll probably be saving them for bringing hot foods to the dining table and as a decorative kitchen item, but I think they are thick enough to offer protection for moderately hot pots, pans, and baking dishes. They’re perfect for taking food out of the microwave or a moderately hot oven, but when taking a cast iron bread pot out of a screaming hot 500 degree oven, I’m sticking with silicone mitts.
