This is my first KastKing reel. The quality of the reel is nice. When I unboxed it, there was lubricant in the reel but when I went out the reel felt “dry”. I re-oiled the reel after cleaning it that day and it felt much better, you may want to go ahead and oil it before you take it out fishing for the first time. But overall for the price I am satisfied, I will definitely buy another KastKing reel after having tried this one out.

This reel outperforms my penn reels the retrieve on it is so smooth caught 3 big trout and she handled them like a champ was able to throw a 2 oz bucktail easily 150-200 ft

Considering what’s your pay for it, this is a primo reel! It’s light enough to use all day long, easily adjustable drag, and I was able to tell in a couple of really nice channel cats with ease! It doesn’t get any better than this at this price point.
