Purchased this reel for my son to use around the neighborhood ponds catching large mouth bass, catfish, and bluegill. Very nice reel at this price point. Drag is smooth and line fires out nice and smooth. Magnetic brakes are very nice. We put 10lb braid and it’s perfect for these neighborhood waters. I think you could easily bump up to 15lbs which I believe it’s maximum rating for braid. Very light and easy to handle all day long. Get you one and go fishing! Love KastKing gear!

Just got this new reel. Needed a faster one at 7.3:1. It is first very sharp looking. It feels quite good in your hand as it is pretty small and very light weight. I like that it has a small lever to pull open to gain access to the spool vs. so many bait casters are either sealed or they are super hard to access. This one is easy. There is also a great little wheel built in that you just turn easily with a small item, (I used a small paper clip) to move it to what pound line you have on the feel. Makes it easy to see, as we all forget sometimes what line we have on the reel. Drag rated 15lbs so should be fine for worming or throwing a frog where quick pick up is needed with the 7.3:1 speed. Will need to put it through the real test soon as it warms up here, but from a feel and features, I love this so far. Price was right and looks to be a great value. I will have to test the magnets to see how it does to prevent backlash but my other KastKing reels have held up well, so anticipating this one to be similar.

Don't be suprised by the price. This is great budget friendly reel that is compact and lightweight. The orange and black colors really stand out. Also has a line indicator that comes in very handy. For the beginner or novice this is a nice reel to add to your arsenal.

Upon my initial unboxing I noticed that this reel has a very similar size, shape and feel to their more expensive Kestrel series. I like that the reel is easy to palm. The oversized star drag knob with click setting is appreciated when needing to make on the fly adjustments while fighting a fish. The tension knob and magnetic braking will allow for maximum casting distance with minimal to no backlashes. Another unique feature is a line indicator that will allow you to keep track of what pound test line you have spooled up. I’m looking forward to doing some on the water testing very soon.

I have 5 KastKing spinning reels and they are awesome so I thought I would try out a baitcaster the Lethal Blaze is light weight and super smooth welp worth the price I cant wait to get a few more KastKing reels and poles to add to my fishing adventures.

Unbelievably impressive! I've got expensive baitcasters like Shimano, Lews, AbuGarcia and Daiwa and couldn't believe how well this reel performs. Got it on sale for like 35.00 and it wouldn't have bothered me at full price. We'll see how it holds up. Using it mainly for chatterbaits and jigs.
