Decent smaller bait caster for finesse presentations. A good all around set up for small crank baits and spinner baits. Fit and finish are superb, the white on white and blue accents are quite handsome. No cons to speak of in the 20 or so times I've fished with it. Like all my fishing purchases, I will do my best to review later on down the road. ***Edit*** I've had this combo now for 3 months. I felt it justifys additional review now. I've caught over 100 fish with it. Mostly fishing with spinner baits and crank baits. It's a better setup for smaller spinner baits like the double willow leaf pond magic ones. Also better for smaller shallow running crankbaits. I had one birds nest after I got it dialed in correctly. I say this because the controls are kind of clunky. They have no audible click during setting. So it's trial and error to get them back to correct setting if they're messed with. That's the only negative so far I've found. My review hasn't changed regarding over time. It's still a great value combo.

The pole broken in half after second fish was caught. I’m a longtime fisherman and I know polls are not made to last forever but second time out hooked a nice fish pole snapped in half. Not worth the money for sure.

Every time I used this rod on a recent trip to the Outer Banks, I caught fish. Even when no one else in my group was catching anything, I always did. Literally on the first cast every single time, I caught a fish. I’m not one of the people in these reviews that know a lot about rods and reels. I just tried to pick a combo rod and reel that looks nice and had good reviews. I’m a very casual fisher. I usually just use one of my dad’s fishing rods, but I wanted to get my own before spending a week fishing with him at the beach. This rod and reel combo was great. It’s very responsive, but still strong. I didn’t have any problems feeling bites and snagging small baitfish on the pier or larger blues from the surf.

Rod broke !!!! Caught a carp worked fine next cast caught something and it snapped smh! Really liked the rod but man this sucks . Only took it out 3 times .
